We're struggling a bit but have a run in against largely bottom half sides. I think your pessimism is misplaced. We can cover these injuries. We can put Julian Darby up front again, it'll be reet.

Mebbe. But we saw Monday a banker three points didn’t work out like that.
It feels like we will have a tough road to me. You just feel when we are on it and when we are not and feels like right now we don’t really believe. Evatt is not exuding confidence and almost feels like he is trying to make excuses in advance.
Next two are probably pivotal as whilst we have three home games after that momentum is very hard to turn round at this stage if we slip out after a couple of average results I’m not convinced we can get going again. It feels to me like the post semi final all over again. We’ve put it into the final and instead of using momentum from that we’ve sort of slipped back.
I will be absolutely thrilled if we get going again and put the required run of results together but we were lucky at Exeter and if we are honest a little lucky against Cambridge.

I still think we seem to have more injuries than others - were either signing the wrong players or we need to sort training out/medical department.

Santos, Toal, Mbete were all in-game injuries. 2 of them impact injuries
Not much you can do about that. The training ground injuries are a concern though. We've had a few...

Are we sure Oxford are that type of reactive, defensive, set-piece-seeking side? If so, their manager Liam Manning has had a dramatic personality change since his MK Dons side were the most possession-hungry, passy-passy side in the league last season.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 9:48 amBut it all worries me a bit because Oxford will absorb pressure and go for set pieces and we're mainly vulnerable there I feel. And if they score first - we're in trouble.

They didn't look too defensive when putting 3 past us at home...Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 3:53 pmAre we sure Oxford are that type of reactive, defensive, set-piece-seeking side? If we have lost another CB to injury (Mbete or Johnston), then they could score another 3 tomorrow.

If Evatt's eyebrow raise, when Marc Iles mentioned Johnstone in the center of the back 3, is anything to go by we might need to score 4.Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 4:34 pmIf we have lost another CB to injury (Mbete or Johnston), then they could score another 3 tomorrow.

If Johnston is out and Mbete I do wonder what we’d pick.DJBlu wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 6:11 pmIf Evatt's eyebrow raise, when Marc Iles mentioned Johnstone in the center of the back 3, is anything to go by we might need to score 4.Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 4:34 pmIf we have lost another CB to injury (Mbete or Johnston), then they could score another 3 tomorrow.
I mean that’s at the point where we’d have to play Geth with MJ and in a back four…
Doesn’t really compute.

They know how to play football, it's their job. There should be no need for plans and strategies at this stage of the season. Get out there and win. That's what Oxford will be trying to do.

I won't be here for this one as I should be touching down in southern France around kick off time. Unless the French ATC do a walk out again. So I'll have to snap up an espresso or two from the airport when I get there. Jusqu'aux blancs!

If it's Mbete and he's replaced by MJW I honestly think we'll be stronger. I'd rather have the level headed pro than a panicking specialist.Bertie Wooster wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 4:34 pmIf we have lost another CB to injury (Mbete or Johnston), then they could score another 3 tomorrow.

Good, strong team. Attacking options on bench. Another defensive injury would obviously be a problem, but fingers crossed.

I hope you are right. I seriously doubt that. Too slow.LeverEnd wrote: ↑Sat Apr 15, 2023 8:13 amIf it's Mbete and he's replaced by MJW I honestly think we'll be stronger.
