Curb Your Enthusiasm - Villa Away

Post by hisroyalgingerness » Mon Sep 13, 2010 8:50 pm

Wow we're up for this aren't we!

Here's why we'll beat Villa:

1 - No Cahill. He's always been shit against his old club
2 - Who-ullier? Still no sign of the eyeballing Frenchman. Much de-stabilisation
3 - We're bloody well due

Currently running riot against The Potteries. They should be about 4 or 5 up, maybe they will tire themselves out? :D
Pfffft.

Yes! That's the spirit.

We'll run em ragged with our freshness, like we did at Arsenal...

They look suspect when Stoke get the ball down though. Meat and Drink when they go long. Reo-Coker is poor. If we stand any chance of getting a result there, it'll be down to his inclusion (kiss of death)

Hmm, i had a lil look to satisfy my curiosity about our performance away from home against the top 8 teams recently.

Those being Man u, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs, Villa, Everton, Liverpool, Man City.

Last two seasons = 16 games.

Played 16 Won: 0 Drawn: 0 Lost: 16

For: 9 Against: 45

OR:

Last 3 seasons = 24 games

Played 24 Won: 0 Drawn: 2 Lost: 22

For: 13 Against: 65

Our last 3 results at Villa Park have been 0-4, 2-4 and 1-5.

So...I might take baby for a lonnnnnnnnnng walk on Saturday afternoon and just check the final score.

I'm also assuming we'll have a man sent off :pissed:

We seem to get absolutely dicked at Villa every year as compensation for the time when we won with a Speed penalty after being battered all game.

Was the night of Jussi's wonder save from Cahill too IIRC.

Was that not City when they hit the woodwork 6 times?

Different occasion, same idea. See also Bolton 1-0 Watford.

Nope, I remember that game too. It was akin to theft, just like that City match.

Holden with a desperate late clip on Young for a second yellow.

Straight red on Steinsson for looking too intense.

Robbo's primed for a red now. Plus he's none-too-popular with the Villains. 35th minute for savaging Young who'd just taken the piss out of him for the 9th time that half
