You will be old enough to remember what caused him to leave too. Did a great job as manager of Blackburn as well.

I thought they only drank Benedictine in Burnley
That's true - that was on TV recently! What is it they mix it with?
I cannot for the life of me remember.
They drink 'Bennie and hot' in Burnley. Approx 30% of the total drunk in UK is consumed in Burnley.

Its very accommodating of Liverpool to think this way, but I do have to question the practical logistics of shifting a city of this size.

And have we established exactly where or why Coyle wants it to move to?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

A fine point your Lordship.

I've long advocated digging a ditcharound the place & having a few tugs pull it out & up the Irish Sea, toward Iceland. That 'd really feck the Icelandics up.

I believe this was tried some time ago ... hence the Isle of Man.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

Millions of cash to squander in those days at Bburn, until dear old Jack popped his clogs and they found out that KD could buy expensive proven footie players but was like a cork in the ocean when he had to rely more on technical/tactical skills.
