Good fun watching those penalties. Still it should have been Terry missing that penalty.

Blatantly trying to build up my post count maybe.

Actually clicked submit, but it came back that another post had been made in the interim although I couldn't see a post. So I clicked submit again.

Fancy those honest Crawley lads being nieve enough to think the ref's going to penalise foul challenges from United defenders. This ref should be wearing a red shirt. When did blatant obstruction and running into the back of players stop being fouls?

Oh, and did you know City are playing Notts tomorrow, followed by the next round draw? Our game wasn't mentioned. Must have been called off. :|

Well, since ( you tell me) they're such absolute villains , let's leave out the word "honest" and the rest still applies.

A friend of mine commented during the game that it looks like they'd found their level playing Crawley. Then another, quite seriously, stated that he wasn't even sure if that was the case.

It's gonna be interesting to see what happens to the team tomorrow. Apparently J-Lloyd Samuel, Ricardo Gardner, Joey O'Brien and Gretar Steinsson aren't close enough to fitness to get into the squad so the wing back slots are rather depleted meaning that only Marcos Alonso and Paul Robinson are looking to be certainties. It looks like we might end up seeing a few of the youngsters getting close to the first team.

With Alonso and Robinson being primarily left backs it looks likely that one of them will end up playing out of position. My money would be on Paul Robinson as he's been steady eddie and I don't think Alonso needs the extra concern coming into the team.

Fingers crossed we get adequate cover on the bench as the centreback and wingback slots are looking rather frail.

Despite several "suggestions" for the full-back slots, and since OC played Robbinson at right back an Alonso came in to cover the left side, it's looking pretty certain that'll happen again Mar. It isn't really a time for experimenting if we want to stay in the cup, especially against a team like Fulham who will be hell-bent on winning at home. Unless we're very unlucky, central defence looks solid and I doubt we'll be playing less than our first team, even if it does appear a bit unfair on some of those who played on Wednesday.

Isn't Matty Taylor a former left wingback? Could he not slot in there and play Robinson on the right with Alonso as cover if needed? We could/should set up like this

Bogdan

Robinson --- Cahill --- Wheater --- Taylor

CYL --- Holden --- Davies.M --- Petrov

Klasnic --- Davies.K

What you think?

True but it wasn't his scoring prowess that forced his move into the midfield. He played that position a time at Portsmouth before getting moved to the midfield.

Big day today. Normally don't get that worked up for the FA Cup, and concidering it is against a side that we don't normally play well against especially at their house, not sure why I am excited about the match.

Come on you whites, take Fullham down.
