I really don't understand why Lee isn't starting, get him in instead of Elmander.

I'd not have guessed or picked that midfield myself but hopefully OC is a man with a plan!

Barton has picked up an injury and isn't playing, he's been replaced by Ryan Taylor

Strong bench, although not happy with Elmo plonked out on the right. Get Lee out there FFS!
Completely agree! It frustrates me that CY Lee has been dropped for a striker that isn't as that good out on the wing and leaves us exposed down the right!
I'm a better defender than Lee

Raise as many points as you like why he should play ahead of Elmander but suggesting Elmander leaves us weaker defensively shows a complete lack of understanding

I'd say the thinking is we can only afford one luxury, Petrov

So, Petrov/Elmander, or Taylor/Lee

According to the radio, Sturridge is playing upfront with Elmander... maybe SKD is on the wing then.

Dropping Taylor on the basis of one good cup game for Petrov is a bollocks decision.

Playing three strikers and leaving Lee on the bench is a bollocks decision.

Sorry, but Owen is a great manager who is absolutely copping out when it comes to hard decisions.

maybe resting him up for the FA Cup run... maybe.
I think Coyle knows that Lee won't complain. Makes the decision easier for him. Not the right one in my opinion.

Sturridge should do better with a 3 on 2 break than blaze away from miles away.

If Elmander is better on the right than Lee it's fair enough.

You suspect Elmander is playing so he'll put pen to paper. If it has a happy outcome it's all good.

Lee getting some more rest is probably a good thing.

Sturridge trying to lob the keeper from just outside the centre circle, poorly executed, but I've never seen a Bolton player try that, EVER. Elmander was put through but lingered and was tackled. Cahill had a cheeky backheel from a corner, hit a Toon arm, but not handball. Best had a cracking effort from outside the area, just curled wide. It certainly looks winnable, presuming we stop being so slow in possession.

As I speak, Holden had a shot blocked from about 8 yards from a break. Fairly end-to-end.

And a run of average to poor games from Taylor.

Lee is the best right winger we have at the club by miles.

Elmo could play all season and still not sign a contract.

In your opinion maybe. Better than a whole season of mediocre to poor performances.

Can't wait for him to be subbed at 75 minutes and have a face like a smacked arse again.
