Re: holden
USA has two games this international break that he was expected to play in.
Let's hope he's referring to those and not the season.

Who was the rumour from, may I ask?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Bolton News says that the results of the MRI scan will be back today and they will be able to tell what damage is done. Although it did say that he's not broken anything
Pfffft.

Re: Holden
Well according to the Houston Chronicle he needed 26 stiches to close up his wound, so i'd say it'll be atleast 2-3 weeks for that to fully heal, So i'd say already the chances of him being fit for the semi's is highly unlikely absoulatly gutted for the man, deserving of player of the year in the league, to come from playing MLS football to one of the best midfielders in the league in such a short ammount of time is incredible, poor lad can't catch a break... (no pun intended)

I'm sure the club would make an official announcement before he tweets again but it doesn't look good

Re: Holden
He's obviously out for some time.
So given we've barely won a game without him this season, we're fooked.
I think we can kiss an FA Cup final appearance goodbye now and probably we'll do well to scrape together enough points for mid table between now and the end of the season.
Absolutely fooking gutted.

Re: Holden
season over for him isn't it. Probably the worst possible outcome of saturday imaginable to be honest. Given how injury prone mark davies is as well it doesn't bode well. I dread to think about a midfield with cohen and muamba in! How unfair is that!

Put it this way Johnny Evans has ended our hopes of an FA cup final place and a top half finish.officer_dibble wrote: season over for him isn't it. Re: Holden
fookin nora, this is a blow definitely but its not the end of the world, one player dosent make up the team. we have Mark Davies who is blossoming into a quality little player, and it also opens up an opportunity to get Chungy back in the side. Rodders is lurking for his chance too. all these are options we'll see before Cohen get in(fingers crossed) Im gutted for Stu, but not too concerned about the team.

oh FFS! yes - it's bad news - but talk about a total over-reaction! I've read some wank on this board - I've written plenty of it myself - but - this takes the wank-cup!

Just reacting the same way they still do to Lofty's shoulder charge.
In fact, I think we ought to regurgitate this all the time if we don't win the FA cup, and blame them.
Its our prerogative.

Re: Holden
Johnny Evans ate my hamster !
You lets try and be positive, maybe Mavies can step up now and show he can be the main man. Also, with Lee back at least its a positive, we have some winnable games with or without Stu, and there's no reason we can't get to 50 points.
I'd like to see him back for the semi final, its just under 4 weeks off, you never know...!

Re: Holden
Bish I haven't got time to do this but if anyone does what would our win % with and without Holden be this season? It won't paint a pretty picture. Guess who was missing for our Christmas slump? Hmmmmm.......thebish wrote:BWFC_Insane wrote:Put it this way Johnny Evans has ended our hopes of an FA cup final place and a top half finish.officer_dibble wrote: season over for him isn't it. I'm not the only one saying this and I don't think its an overreaction. The Stoke game was 50:50 as it was, we've now lost our most crucial player, the one who seems to make our team tick.
Not only that his replacement is out currently and seems to pick up niggles. Our other midfield player has regressed this season and can't keep possession.
Aye what a recipe for Wembley and the rest of the season!
