Trotters take aim at The Gunners - Match Thread

Post by TKIZ! » Mon Apr 18, 2011 5:12 pm

Not the type of match you would want after a thrashing but I thought I would match thread away.

Is Van Persie playing?
Pfffft.

This is the only thing that is stopping me from going in to full in depression, the fact we can put in a good performance.

I don't think we'll win, I just want to see them TRY!

I think we'll play really well and draw.

I honestly could barely care less.

It's already theirs. United could lose every one of their remaining games and Arsenal would still bottle it.

I'm not sure its possible to have less enthusiasm for this game than I do. I'll be there.

But owt less than a full blooded performance and a win will just not be good enough. In fact these players owe the fans 6 wins between now and the end of the season. Somehow don't think they'll manage it.

For all the talk we've still not beaten a Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool under Coyle! Bout time we started turning over the "big boys" once in a very long while!

expecting a win against a far superior team just because of a huge disappointment is daft really. get real.

i think by the time this game comes around arsenal will be more or less be done in terms of the title race and the pressure will have eased off them a bit. i fear the worst.

hopefully we put in a dogged tough performance and try and defend well but hard to see that happening and i would say the same regardless of yesterday.

We must, and will (surely) see a reaction from the players. This game will define the rest of our season. As I said yesterday, we'll either see a huge fightback, like angry animals, from the men in white and we'll dick the Gooners, or we'll shiver and shake and they'll dick us. A win, or a hard fought draw, will see us kick on for the rest of the season, and hopefully finish ahead of one or both of the scouse teams. Another loss, and I wouldn't be surprised to suffer the same fate for the rest of the season.

One thing is certain. Our club need us. A couple of seasons ago, against Arsenal, we had the proper camaraderie; we were losing, and us, the fans responded with nearly 45 minutes of "we're the one and only Wanderers". This time, we need 90 minutes of it.

We are Bolton. We are the Wanderers. And I AM STILL PROUD!

Revenge is a dish best served cold, as they say, and we need some revenge off somebody. Why not Arsenal?

If we beat Spurs you'll win, if we don't you might well get thrashed again...
