Big if, Sunderland get relegated, there'll be a few clubs going for Gyan, which would probably rule us out. But he does have a good all-round game.
Just don't let him take any last minute penalties...

Re: Boltons next top striker?
Just wondering who we might get on loan from a big team next year and all I come up with is a list of United's kids - Macheda, Diouf, Welbeck etc.

Re: Boltons next top striker?
its looking slighly better for them than maybe two weeks ago, but IF West Brom go down, what do folks think of Peter Odemwhatshisface?
not a world beater, but would his pace work in our system as Sturridge has?
granted he's not a patch on Sturridge (IMO) but can we really expect to get someone as good as him next year?

Eaves hit a purple patch where he got something like 10 goals in 12 games. Not scored in 3 or 4 now though.

Re: Boltons next top striker?
given his omission tonight, let's throw £3-4m at United for Berbatov
for that type of money for a player who 'offers bugger all' (according to most of my United supporting friends) they'll drive him to the 'Bok!

Re: Boltons next top striker?
I'd like us to take a punt on a pacey championship striker or some Prem reject with something to prove
- Long at Reading, Anichebe at Everton, Doyle at Wolves if they go down or even Fletcher if Owen can get him back to how he was at Burnley.

used to rate Doyle but he just hasn't scored enough goals for Wolves. maybe he was a one season wonder at Reading?Prufrock wrote:Pennies for Long and defo Doyle.
