Would you have Nolan back?
He's refused a new contract at Newcastle so a simple question - would you like to see him back at the Reebok?
I feel reborn !!!! No more confussion

Option 3: If we can afford it and all other squad problems have been solved

Not in a thousand million billion years.
1) He'd cost more than he's worth
2) Who would he replace?
3) He was forced out before for having a bad attitude, we don't want his poison back
4) You know.

The Sun has Big Sam as bidding for him and D.J.Campbell.

I'd have him back.
Handy to have a midfielder who can score ten goals a season.

I'm not really sure where he'd fit into our system, but if it could work, I'd love him back. Great goal threat too, which barring Klasnic, we're really lacking at the moment.

Re: Would you have Nolan back?
He wants a five year contract at Newcastle, so on that basis, and for the fact that he wouldn't get in our starting XI when everyone is fit, no.

Let me tell you where I am.
He's on 60 grand a week.
And for that reason alone, I'm out.

heart says yes - head says no - computer says no
2-1 to the no camp!
(and - a 5yr contract at £60,000 a week amounts to over £15million in wages...)

Absolutely not.
Passenger in a 4-4-2 and would be a step backwards on the road to what Coyle is trying to achieve.
FWIW - I think he would do well (and enjoy) the role of captain at a Championship side and be the "elder" statesman.
Would love the bindippers to pay over the odds for him as the tramp says.

Re: Would you have Nolan back?
I'd take him back, if he dropped his wages...by a lot, and was happy being a bench player unless he proved himself. Our 4-4-2 consists of Holden + A. N. Other, and Nolan isn't a good enough tackler to play alongside Holden.
That said, never wanted him to go, and he's done well for Toon since leaving.

i see no reason why he'd agree to that - what with being Newcastle's captain...Choppers wrote:I'd take him back, if he dropped his wages...by a lot, and was happy being a bench player unless he proved himself.

Well yeah...I was tying to point out that him coming to us is quite unlikely!thebish wrote:i see no reason why he'd agree to that - what with being Newcastle's captain...Choppers wrote:I'd take him back, if he dropped his wages...by a lot, and was happy being a bench player unless he proved himself.
