Ta ra Taylor
Not bothered about this one going, as Coyle says below it's top money for an expensive reserve player.
Started off poorly, got better, then went to shite again. I hear Potter1989 is a big fan

OWEN Coyle believes Wanderers would have been crazy to turn down West Ham’s £2.2million offer for Matt Taylor.
The midfielder flew home from Bolton’s US tour earlier this week to join Sam Allardyce at Upton Park.
Taylor, pictured, who is in the last year of his contract and one of the top earners at the Reebok, was in and out of the side last season.
And Coyle insists letting the 29-year-old leave made financial sense for everyone involved.
“It is a fantastic fee,” said the Wanderers manager. “Matty will feel it’s a good deal for him and we feel it’s a good deal for the football club.
“He was going into the last year of his contract and West Ham were offering a three or four-year contract.
“I just think when you looked at the business side, £2.2m was a good deal all round.”
Wide-man Taylor scored 23 goals in 139 appearances after joining Wanderers from Portsmouth in January 2008, but struggled to recreate his best form, scoring just twice, as he battled for a starting spot with Martin Petrov, who joined from Manchester City.
Coyle added: “Matty Taylor is a great lad. I’ve got so much time for him and he goes with our best wishes.
“We’ve loved working with him, but sometimes in football things move on, people move on to pastures new.”

Re: Ta ra Taylor
Decent player - scored some important goals, and made a few more. But that's good money - as long as it is re-invested in players, and soon.
Formerly known as Meg'sEleven. And Owen'sEleven. And Dougie'sEleven. We're getting through them aren't we...

That's the key innit, great work in getting the lump off the wage bill (still being paid £25,000 in the second division! Madness), but time's time to start bringing in new'uns

If you can play in the back four then don't even think twice about it, you're in.

I guess then that if West Ham are nicking ex-BWFC managers and players then that makes US the new Academy of Football
Re: Ta ra Taylor
Really feel that now would be the time to start bringing some in Mr Coyle. Our finances must just be absolute shit. Worrying really, if we went down what would happen!?
As for Taylor, I'd still rather have him in the team that Petrov, sorry.

Re: Ta ra Taylor
Farewell and good luck to Matt Taylor. Did a fine job for us for a couple of years. I hope we don't miss him.

Start = missed from on the line
Middle = scored some vital goals, had a row with a supporter
End = went lazy
It's only a draft, for now.

See, if you saved up some of your quantity into a big solid block you might eventually hit upon some quality...Lofthouse Lower wrote:Start = missed from on the line

Re: Ta ra Taylor
I wonder if because we 'released' Elmander if he qualifies for the one-month 'parachute' payment despite him moving on to Galatasaray?
Any player we release has to have his next month paid for (mainly as a protection for lower league players - but very useful for the rich lads), but wonder whether Mandy qualified for this.

Matty Taylor as a whole was a MASSIVE disappointment. I genuinely excited when we signed him. he was rarely anything other than poor. glad to see the back of him tbh.
