Somebody should start an investigation. The club owe us an explanation. Matter of fact screw the investigation and get me an inquisition!

How on earth has the club let Holden down? By all accounts Stuart was desperate to get back on the pitch, and given that he'd trained and played sparingly for the reserves, I can't see how we've let him down. It's not like we threw him straight back into Premier League football. It sounds like one of those inexplicable complications that sometimes happens. Nobody's fault, just unfortunate and unforeseen.

The found cartilage damage when they opened up the knee. Why wasn't thorough checks done to make sure his knee was fully healed before he started playing again?

SHIT.

I think I speak for every Bolton fan when I say that.

That £4.8m on the other thread for him, I think I'd take it now!

I'm not so sure they have. Depends what the original injury was. Once players get serious knee problems the setbacks and reoccurrences are quite common. It's different than with broken bones or whatever, diagnosis and determining when they are ok to resume top level football is not cut and dried. I suspect this problem only flared up once he started playing. Before that it will have looked ok on the scans and felt ok!

I was so looking forward to having him back in the side, we've missed him so much and now this piece of shit news comes out? How can this happen? I don't want to go overboard but this is just another step forward on the 'royally fecked' pathway...

I bet its like buying money for you.
