Worst signing by Allardyce, Lee, Megson or Coyle?

But surely, Shirley the winner is the geezer Sam signed from the Spanish 23rd division who never even saw daylight. If anyone ever turned up with a brown-paper bag under his arm it was him.
Oscar Perez?

Your Portuguese lump is Ariza Makakula.

Mario Jardel.

Whatever you can say about the lack of ability of other flop signings, at least they were in shape.

Scored a cracking header at Anfield though in the cup.

Though I guess an Easter Island statue can nod it in unmarked from six yards if it bounces of it at the right angle.

They're the two ... ta.

I see the parameters were cost/return .... but we never know the cost of so called free-transfers. I'll accept that Sean Davis fits this, but he wouldn't have done if he'd not got thre injury.

Len Cantello maybe ??

We've taken some cheap, last minute, hopeful gambles over the seasons on strikers who never really cut the mustard. Gregorz Rasiak, Dwight Pezzarossi, Javi Moreno, Michael Bridges and Matt Jansen to name but a few.

They didn't score one goal between them.

Worst player would probably have to be Oscar Perez. Is the Spanish 3rd division even fully professional?

Worst signing, hard to look past Danny Shittu. Commanded a transfer fee and decent wages and unlike Sean Davies there was just no potential there.

Jon Otsemobor? That would be Allardyce.

He made his league debut in the same game as Steve Howey and we conceded six at home. It was against City I think.

He was also shot in the buttocks I seem to remember.

I remember one time a colleague of mine relating the tale of Lee Potter and his mates acting up in a restaurant - throwing food and stuff, and then him hopping into his nice brand new sports car. I have no way of verifying this, but someone mentioned he was on upwards of a couple of grand a week. This is in the nineties, mind. And might be made up shite. Not the restaurant bit though.

Ended up at Halifax didn't he?

He wasn't actually THAT bad. I thought we would have offered him a permanent deal or something.

I've based my decision on cost versus impact on the club and the head over heels worst signing across the three managers is Sean Davis by some distance. How is it fecking possible for someone to be injured for that long? He's been sat on his £40k a week wages doing absolutely jack shit for 2 years. At least some of these sacks of shit like Ibrahim Ba actually got on the pitch and tried to earn their wage!

I'm being 100 percent serious here but they should have stuck him on the pie stalls on match days and just sent him out on all the charity events, try and get as much use out of him as we could but did we balls.
