Thought they might have picked us v Burnley for the first game but never mind.
Re: a note on live fixtures next season
so did i on a friday, in fact i would have thought that was the sole reason for us playing them first. just shows that the f.a have it out for us even when not influenced by sky

Re: a note on live fixtures next season
Not sure if it's that so much, maybe a Friday night game would be harder to police given the bad blood that's bound to be around, who knows. Cardiff v Huddersfield sounds like a snooze-fest to me though.
Re: a note on live fixtures next season
if not they could put it on a saturday instead of of wales vs confused outcasts of yorkshire and lanacashire

Re: a note on live fixtures next season
Leeds v Wolves sounds a bit tasty actually so maybe it were a toss-up between that and ours for Saturday, and they went with Leeds.
Re: a note on live fixtures next season

Re: a note on live fixtures next season
i still think our game is more tasty though as it is a local derby and coyle return, it surely beats big team versus releagated team(leeds wolves)ohjimmyjimmy wrote:Leeds v Wolves sounds a bit tasty actually so maybe it were a toss-up between that and ours for Saturday, and they went with Leeds.

Do the BBC still have rights to the Championship? Maybe they picked up the Burnley game.

I'm a frayed knot. The three-year co-coverage deal between the Sky and BBC finished this summer. So now FL live coverage is exclusively Sky, with a resultant 26% drop in income, because the BBC was "not in a position to be able to make a competitive bid".Relentless09 wrote:That's a good point, I remember last year BBC showed West Ham's first game so hopefully they picked ushi there, i'm chris wrote:Do the BBC still have rights to the Championship? There remains the option of a highlights deal with a terrestrial TV company, but it seems *nobody* has taken it up, or at least worked out a deal.

I'll be glad if we don't end up on tele for Burnley.
More chance of more travelling and selling out.

Correction to previous post: a highlights deal has been struck, with the BBC again.

Will the "Football League Show" still be shown after MOTD next season. Heard BBC may be dropping it?
Re: a note on live fixtures next season
so our game definantly wont be live then, that means it will be harder for me to get tickes but oh well

I only just realised that we will now be playing Saturday, Tuesday, Friday that opening week too.

The players will be "tired" by 7 days in then !!P.O.S. wrote:I only just realised that we will now be playing Saturday, Tuesday, Friday that opening week too.
I can hear the whining now.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: a note on live fixtures next season
I definitely have to go to the games now then, ahh well
Pfffft.
Re: a note on live fixtures next season
Looks like I'll be looking to download the football league show more often than not for any decent footage of games this season.
