Very good call that, Genster, because in the league game, when Greaveso scored the winner, it was dark because it was in the 2nd half and we were kicking towards the Embankment.

↑↑↑ Yep. Absolutely. Our very own international player.

In that picture some people have the adidas logo on the left, and some on the right. Bit odd.

They're two different sorts. The ones with it on the left are a darker shade of green.

That's the one that got me too. Seriously, never heard of him. Mike Doyle, Ian Moores, Chris Thompson and Walter Joyce - Incredibly, no longer with us. RIP one and all.

From PNE forum.
Vernon Allatt is still banging them in ............

In prison cells

Found him on Friends Reunited. He's a prison officer - and mentions PNE in his profile.

Go on, e-mail him - and make his day! :D

But don't mess with him. Prison officer and pit worker = tough guy in my book!
Here's his profile:

i worked down huntington pit, till '79 then turned pro in football, first club Halifax, Rochdale, Bolton, Crewe, Preston,Stockport then finished career in a Dutch first division side. Joined prison service in '89 still enjoying it. Married to Julie who i met at school, will have been married 25 years nxt year. Also have 3 daughters, still living in Hednesford still into keeping fit; hobbies include weighttraining and mountain biking

I remember us signing him along with an Eric Snookes (who to be fair was only 2 vowels away from being a great Dutch midfielder).

Am fairly sure he never made a league appearance for us but he did score (possibly 2) in the Peter Nicholson friendly for a Bolton side v Legends (Worthy, George Best et al)
