There are obvious things like KD up front come what may, playing two wingers when we are being overrun, playing Mark Davies in a central two where he has no impact and the game bypasses him, leaving fullbacks without any protection so that wingers are afforded more space to cross the ball, keeping 2 up when the midfield is clearly overrun, stuff like that. Oh and not having 1 midfield player drop a little deeper to fill in the gap between centre halves or centre halves and full backs. We couldn't get through Burnleys midfield. 1 pass and they were running right at our back four, midfield caught square all the time.

Then we seem to be unfit, poorly organised and unmotivated. But I guess expecting him to fix any of that may be pushing it slightly.......

This thread might just be the one to beat all the recent transfer topic, until it renames to 'Curbishley out' or some whack.

Even at a goal down, we should've gone 451 at half time

Even 441 would have been better.

Well we started with a 431 didn't we as the 2 Davies's apparently had a lock in at Greggs

The single, most glaringly obvious issue is the apparent lack of realisation that to win football games, you need to have the ball, and you are not going to see much of it without an engine room that can win and keep the ball. Petrov, Lee, even SKD and Sordell/Ngog supported by the rest are easily good enough to create chances in this league (not sure about taking them mind) but they cant do that without the ball.

Unfortunately OC proved last year he doesnt get it, as we went on a 3 month run of losing every game with 30-40% possession, then out of desperation he changed to 4-5-1 which worked, only to go revert back to the old method for the Norwich and Wigan games, which imo cost us our Prem place. He clearly has no idea about strategy, his whole management game (he was the same as a player) is about the enthusiasm and wonderlust he brings when he first enters a club, once that goes, he has very litte. Sadly, we've identified him as someone for the long term, and I fear we are about to enter another dark age as a result. An honest mistake, but sadly a mistake nevertheless.

How many people post regularly on the BWFC forums? Probably fewer than fifty in total. The only real surprise is that anyone thinks that the opinions expressed on them are in any way representative of the majority.

You think it's a shithole now? You should've gone when one end and one side were terracing. Horrible little place.

Around me yesterday at the back of the stand I didn't hear one person say Coyle should still be manager. I'm confident that if the 3 thousand odd fans at Burnley yesterday had been polled on leaving over 90% would have said he should be sacked.
