Sheffield Wednesday Away

Post by Barr Hill » Mon Sep 10, 2012 5:09 pm

I know its very early to be discussing this game but just to let you know what I was told by the ticket office when purchasing my 3 tickets a few minutes ago.

Allocation - 3,000
sold to date - 500

Open sale on Wednesday

I think the performance on Saturday v Watford will determine if we will get anywhere near that allocation

Well it's a big ground to fill. Fair play to Wednesday - kids for a quid - one way of bringing them in - only to watch Coyle's last game as manager...!!!!

I take it it's kids for a quid with an adult accompanying them?

Otherwise, it'll put people off. The younger generation of our fan base are mostly whoppers.

I'm a bad omen for trips to Sheffield. Been to both places once, we lost each 5-0. I'd best stay here :(

Aye, mines not much better. 0-5 at Bramall Lane New Years Eve 1983 & 0-1 aet at Hillsborough in League Cup in 1993 iirc.

Lucks got to change sometime, think I might give it a whirl. I'm just glad Megson aint still there gloating on the touchline

Seen us win at Hillsbrough. Ian Marshall with a top bin volley from 18 yards in a 3-0(?) win

My only game there there was a freezing NY Day. 4-2 I think with Curcic scoring a blinder whilst I queued for my half time bovril. Freezing frost and a wooden seat. All in all not a good day :(

Yeah Ive heard its some way out, got a load of time either way to have no rush - plenty time to see the Ennis letter box whilst sober and have a few drinks round Sheffield during Freshers week when not!

Aye - that NYE game was my one and only visit to Bamhall Lane, Harry. My visit to Hillsborough was with Ohjimmyjimmy's mum and dad. We were 5-0 down at half time. We didn't take Ohjimmyjimmy because he's a bad omen! :?
