Next Up - Dioufy's Dirty Leeds

Post by Bijou Bob » Sun Dec 30, 2012 10:43 pm

I notice that Dioufy wasn't even on the bench for Leeds yesterday. Warnock saving him for us I wonder?

I have a good feeling about this, which is probably either the kiss of death or a urinary tract infection, but I'm going 1-2 to us and a Happy New Year.
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.

Leeds are pretty decent at home and before yesterday I wouldn't have give us a hope in hell but after a couple of beers I can see us getting a draw or narrow win :pissed:

Win and we can go up to 9th possibly if other results go our way, Not often that happens but you can hope. 4-0 to Wanderers and a happy new year!

We haven't won two games on the trot since we beat QPR and Blackburn at home in March. We have been really inconsistent for a long time now so I'm not getting my hopes up.

I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

My thoughts entirely. Would be nice to start the New Year on a positive note though.

Leeds have been really poor recently with Warnock himself pretty much calling his team shite.
"I feel the frustration that the fans feel with our squad, but we're all glad it's January coming up. I'm trying to get new players in, the new owners are supporting me and want to bring players in."
Like others have said, we don't do back to back wins this season but it has to happen eventually so I am going to go for a narrow win for us. 1-2.

Leeds are very poor at the moment. A win should be what is expected.

But enough of that. I think we'll play horribly but somehow win 2–0, Spearing and Afobe to score.

If we play as we did for the final 65 minutes v Brum we should be ok. Not felt as comfortable at a Bolton game for a long time - even at 2-1 we looked organised, and as if we had a plan. Right result, achieved in the right fashion. Brum were useless, mind, but you can only play what's in front of you, and Bolton did so to terrific effect on Saturday.

So - pick up where we left off. I'd start the same as started on Saturday - no reason not to, as long as I'm not missing any suspensions or injuries. Ream and Alonso now have a mistake in them that is desperate to get out after being kept locked away on Saturday, so they will be two to watch (keep it simple lads).

Having said that, Alonso wasn't tight enough for their goal and I think it was a misplaced pass from Ream that set up their shot on target in t'second half. So maybe we'll be fine.

There will be goals - in fact, put your money on more than 3 of them. I will be.

3-2 Bolton. COYW!

Does anyone have any idea if we get given a big allocation of seats? I remember about 8-9 years ago we had both upper and lower tiers, and two of my mates are going already so I'm considering whether or not to drive down and meet them... obviously don't want to be in another tier or it be too jammed that I can't stand with them!

Don't know the allocation but we have sold around 1000 in advance.

I would guess there would be at least 3 times that for away fans but as I say I'm guessing.

Was that the 0-0 draw where we pasted them, but Rio Ferdinand and a young Paul Robinson gave a masterclass?!

I really dislike Leeds. Hope that we give them a good pasting.
