Re: Freedman: I'm Helping Sordell
If Sordell is still here past January I imagine he'll be with the club for the long term. Although it's completely unproven, and based on say untapped potential rather than week to week quality, I feel quietly confident that with Freedman should be able to get goals out of a combination of SKD/Ngog/Sordell/The other Davies and even Eaves (7 in 15 no matter the league isn't a bad haul!). Finally feels as if there's true competition for places upfront, something we haven't had since Elmander got booted into midfield when Sturridge was around.

If Sordell isn't fit, there's no point in playing him. A game a week until he gets sharp is fine, and then when he is fit, give him more game time.

Re: Freedman: I'm Helping Sordell
He said in the press last week that Sordell is exactly where he needs to be, fitness wise. If that's not the case, he lied. If it is the case, he lied today.SmokinFrazier wrote:If Sordell isn't fit, there's no point in playing him. He also lied about him being homesick though, so.....

Re: Freedman: I'm Helping Sordell
Sordell hasn't played consistently for a long time. For whatever reason he didn't play today. Perhaps the plan was to bring him on, then he had a tight hamstring or Dougie didn't feel the game would suit him or whatever. But I suspect the softly softly approach will help Sordell more than just chucking him in the deep end and seeing if he sinks or swims.
Given the amount of time he has spent not playing.
Might as well moan that Holden wasn't picked.

That was before the Sunderland game though, wasn't it? Maybe Sordell reacted badly and didn't recover well enough.boltonboris wrote:He said in the press last week that Sordell is exactly where he needs to be, fitness wise. I can't say either way but I'm happy to trust Freedman's word on the issue. I think he wants Sordell fit and in the team but he doesn't want to rush the process.
It's frustrating, I know, but I'll give Freedman the benefit of the doubt here.
Re: Freedman: I'm Helping Sordell
Sordell didn't play today because he isn't fit enough to play two games in a week according to Dougie. Then again, he's not going to get any fitter by not playing.

I don't see any evidence of any lies. What have you seen?boltonboris wrote:No point doing anything else
