Can't help but like Ricardo. For me for a couple of seasons at least one of the best left backs in the premiership.

Shame injuries took their toll.

Good luck to him!

I remember when he first came over & was looking for houses. His mum wouldn't let him buy a place in Blackrod as it had trees in the garden and she believed that meant there'd be far too many snakes.

Not gonna lie, I'll miss having him round the place.

No fuss, hope he finds a club and a lovely fella to boot

Easily one of my favourite players, he just seems like a really nice down to earth bloke.

I remember that first goal he scored and listening to it on the radio, gave me goosebumps just listening to him talking about it.

Good look in the future Bibi!

Nice interview (well, Gardner's answers anyway - I don't think Parkinson need fear much from the interviewer).

Just one thing - how on earth does Joey O'Brien sneak into that illustrious list of 'greats' he played alongside with us?!

Other than for him not being Nicky Hunt, I'm still stunned that Joey O'Brien ever sneaked into the team in the first place.

He's just been training with Spam, hasn't he. So maybe they're mates.

I assumed that he'd got him confused with our latter-day Galactico, Andy O'Brien.

Hes a legend. Fantastic service he gave this club. And his approach to the fans and how he has gone about finishing his time at the club is a lesson to every footballer out there.

+1

A certain Kevin Davies could learn a thing or two from Ricky.

Harsh, Bruce. JOB could have been a good player for us. He's certainly been seen as good enough to played 34 times for West Ham this season.

Yeah this. JOB was good. Blighted by injuries but good.

Seen him a few times for West Ham this season and he's been their best player a few times.

Better right back than Hunt, and a better right back than we've had since. No question in my mind.

Really? I disagree. Poor in the tackle, couldn't carry it forward so tried to pump it up the line instead which always led to a throw-in for the other side. And injury prone. Tell me then, what exactly was he good at?

Playing regularly for a mid table Prem side? and he scored a couple of goals
