BWFC Supporters group Meeting

Post by YtarmyYtarmy » Tue Jun 18, 2013 8:11 pm

http://www.bwfc.co.uk/documents/minutes ... 869992.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Just been on the Club website and came across the minutes of the inaugural supporters group and flabbergasted that someone actually suggested "Publish BWFC football songs on the website and maybe on the scoreboard for all to sing along with."

Would this include a rendition of W*nky W*nky Wanderers ???

If you don't know the lyrics to the songs go to more games and learn em if you want to join in, or maybe they will start printing them in the programme's like an Hmm sheet, eg 0n 35 mins we will sing "Walking down the Manny Road"

Eyes right anyone?

Some other interesting stuff on there though. Not much on the new direction we are heading in though.

I would suggest actually showing the score and time on the scoreboard for thwe whole game. Call me old-fashioned but I'm sick of seeing adverts on it when I check the time.

You, me and everyone that sits around me. How about more action replays, too?

Democracy my friend .... it's a real pisser involving the massed brain-power of the hoi-polloi.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

it was always a good retaliation after we scored against or beat a team whose fans sang it towards us. nowadays the reebok is populated with dribbling brainfarts who probably dont realise wtf they are singing.

Always makes me cringe when fans think they're being clever and ironic, like the old 'Handball!' shout for several touches after one of ours gets accused of it by the opposition. About as amusing and original as people shouting Forrest at me when I'm out for a run. Yawn.
Maybe I'm just a miserable bastard.

I'm glad they're having these consultations rather than making decisions in isolation. As Bobo points out, once you ask for opinions, you'll get some shit 'uns (although "the hoi polloi" is technically tautology, "hoi polloi" meaning "the many" or "the majority").

Scoreboard should always have the time on it, even mid-advert: Although you get more eye-time, I'd say it works against the advertiser is people glance up and are annoyed.

In-game action replays aren't allowed for anything controversial which might enrage crowd and players against the officials.

Interesting that they're tarting up the North Stand Upper, hope that works.

Matchday experience "efficient but not particularly memorable" – insert Megson joke here.

Wi-Fi would be "too expensive" due to the stadium being made of concrete and steel; presumably others who've managed it play in palaces of blancmange.

Safe standing "to be discussed".

New matchday announcer "will be announced at a later date due to some of the finer details still under discussion". #NoelEdmonds

Next meeting next month, so more details to come...

In a similar vein, they have been showing replays of everything in the Confederations Cup and the commentators in one match commented that the referee was looking at the big screen when it showed a bad decision he made. Surely that can't be right, it would take a cold man not to err on the side of the previously aggrieved team when the next 50/50 decision comes around.

My personal favourite was a segregated area for the fans who go to every away match so they can all get together and measure each others cocks.

I have a bad feeling the drums will make a return now we've got rid of Quick Quid. I really hope not though.

A bog-otter, Spotty, is an over-sized deposit into the toilet bowl of such girth and length that, without assistance, it cannot make its way around the u-bend and lies like an otter in the bog. :)

Catherine Jenkins rolling around the pitch in a Zorb singing Bolton songs.

Nude.
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.
