Lahndan Tahrn.

Post by Andy Waller » Mon Jul 15, 2013 7:27 am

I know it's slightly off topic, but I'm off watching a concert in London on August 2nd so I'll be watching the Burnley game down there.

I've heard there was meant to be a bar near Covent Garden that has links to BWFC, is this fact or bollocks??

I thought we'd signed a foreign striker I'd never heard of then!

Couldn't say either way. As it's a noon-ish kick off you could try the Sports Bar in Haymarket (near Piccadilly). They're bound to have ONE screen on.

I haven't heard of it. London Whites might have.

Sports Bar is indeed a good bet.

Sports bar sounds like a great idea. Is there only one in London?

Definitely more than one Andy! :)

Depending where you are, if you fancy some lunch whilst watching the game you could do a lot worse than this one in Marylebone.

There are other sports bars available!

Its the one down from Picallili near to Trafalgar Square that has all the screens isn't it?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

The one Enfield and I mentioned is, aye; Enoch's isn't, but that doesn't mean it's no good.

That one in Marylebone was my local for a couple of years. Trust me, its not a patch.

We're staying right by the south side of the Millennium Bridge so not far from that area would be smashing. I can't see us vs Burnley being a big draw down there but am I right in thinking we'll be the first league match of the season?

London Whites used to meet in the White Swan, Covent Garden

That was in the late 80's though

Sobre a terra, sobre o mar,
Às armas, às armas!
Pela Pátria lutar!
Contra os canhões marchar, marchar!

There are a couple of sportsy bars actually in the dome, but before the ticket gate thing. Nothing you'd trek across town for but handy enough.
