The Spearing deal has a clause that states after his first stint of 3 consecutive reserve games, For a fee of 1.5 million Blackburn can speak to him.

Good news, At the right price.
I initially was against a permanent deal when Liverpool originally quoted £3M when we first had him on loan.
I think 1.5-1.75, whatever it ends up, Is about right. He was great last season.
Well done Dougie, and well done Jay.

He's bound to have said it somewhere, just so he can say he told us so on here at a later date.chester white wrote:Second transfer in a row that old Reluctantnicko has been kept out of the loop, following Moritz. He was only saying this morning that nothing was moving forward with this one. Wonder if they've had enough of him leaking stories. Especially with all the pro-Coyle propaganda he churns out.

I see the club were successful in keeping a certain Scottish journalist out of the loop on this one.

Been mentioned above.boltonboris wrote:I see the club were successful in keeping a certain Scottish journalist out of the loop on this one.
Kept him out of the Moritz deal as well seemingly.
Do you think the question at the fans forum prompted this?

Very good news hopefully this will give a bit of confidence to the defence and also may help Medo who looked to be confused where he should be mainly because he was covering for Andrews mistakes for most of the Burnley game.
I am hoping this spells the end of Andrews who IMHO has never convinced me from day one in fact he seems to have got worse over time.

Someone asked about Nixon and how he seemed to be the unofficial mouthpiece of the club at least under Coyle but still now...Bruce Rioja wrote:Just run it by us again if you would please.BWFC_Insane wrote: Do you think the question at the fans forum prompted this?
Dougie was a bit uncomfortable answering it. Basically said Nixon did have reliable info about Bolton but that he wanted the fans to listen to him (DF) as he will always be honest. Anyhow it was the only question he wasn't 100% clear in answering. Got the impression he was a little embarrassed having to answer it.
Since then though it does seem like Nixon has been cut out. Coincidence perhaps......

I recall someone in the fan's forum thread saying that DF also said that lots of it was bullshit to sell papers.

Re: Spearing! Fee agreed, set for medical
He said the Rhodes rumour was bullshit. Just him having a quiet week and needing to sell stories by putting two and two together.
He did confirm that there was a source inside the club giving him information and as BWFCi says, this now seems to be cut out. I think he's read the riot act amongst the staff. Or he's found the mole.
I'm not sure the question at the forum prompted it personally, but the timing is interesting.
Anyway, I'm happy that we're doing our business in private. It's not as much fun, but it's certainly in the clubs' best interests.

Do you think he sweated the guy in a small room like a Scottish Jack Bauer? Hope so, any mate of Nixon's is a tit.boltonboris wrote:He said the Rhodes rumour was bullshit. Just him having a quiet week and needing to sell stories by putting two and two together.

Wasn't Simon Charlton binned off by Allardyce for blabbing a lot?

I seem to recall that BSA set up some kind of trap which Charlie fell into. Not sure he binned him off for it though.Lord Kangana wrote:Wasn't Simon Charlton binned off by Allardyce for blabbing a lot?
