Watched Reading v Brighton on Sunday. Mr Andrews acquitted him self very well. Got me thinking though as to whether I only appreciated his performance because I was watching him as a neutral!

Yep, that old thing where the same players putting in the same performance look far more threatening when they're the opposition. I thought Andrews was alright for us, if not exactly scorching the heather, and was happy to see us shipping him out in exchange for Spearing. Let's hope Jay - who may be the last expensive signing we make for a while - dominates that midfield, eh?

I may be wrong - it happens, and I'm not too proud to admit it - but I think that rule only applies in the Premier League. I seem to recall it being changed after some brouhaha surrounding our friends from Salford Quays and their release of Timothy Howard to the toffee-sucking cloud-heads on Moyesyside.
