I meant in terms of sending it as far away as possible and not dicking about near our goal.bwfcdan94 wrote:Football grounds now have 12 balls on standby to make such tactic useless sadly. Excellent 3 points, sounds deserved for 2nd half performance.

No doubt Danny Wilson will think them badly done to and Dougie claim it was all a plan. I'm not really bothered, we won. Yeahhhhhh. Over and out.

TBF Oakwell is never full so you may have a point. I know what you meant really LE, I just choose to take it literally as a way of providing a distraction to all that nervousness. Anyhow great result and does sound like we were slightly the better team.

Great result but a point at Leicester would make for an even happier holiday
Uma mesa para um, faz favor. Obrigado.
Re: New Manager Syndrome (Tykes Boxing Day)
We are now equidistant between playoffs and drop zone, for all those stattos out there.

Followed by three points against Boro. Perfick. (I'm not reet bothered about the cup, given our parlous league position).Bijou Bob wrote:Great result but a point at Leicester would make for an even happier holiday

Dare I say that was a clean sheet away from home with Zat Knight in defence.

We do have three home games on the bounce after Christmas as well so getting something at Leicester would be superb.

Well, it's a win, away. Clean sheet and 3 points and what sounds like an OK 2nd half performance.
It was against bottom of the league and a team we should take very easily and we've still only won 2 at home since April, so it's not all "whoop, whoop" but a welcome result nonetheless.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aye, all chickens remain uncounted. All clouds suspected of lack of silver lining. But we won, away!

Just wondering if you fancy a trip on Sunday? But £28? Are they taking the piss?William the White wrote:Aye, all chickens remain uncounted. All clouds suspected of lack of silver lining. But we won, away!

Re: New Manager Syndrome (Tykes Boxing Day)
Great atmosphere in the away end today and a good three points.
We looked spirited and well organised but also lacked creativity in the final thirds at times (not completely sold on Mason as an attacking threat) and although the back four were solid at times we rode our look.
Two main points though; Firstly although I still reckon Bogdan is a fairly good championship keeper, mostly on the back of his excellent shot stopping skills, I feel Lonergan has made a strong claim for the jersey and is more than worthy of the number one spot for the rest of the season.
Secondly Danns was different class today. Very, very sad to see him go. Exactly what we need in this division. High intensity, fantastic work rate and also brings that extra touch of creativity that our other 'engine' players like Pratley often miss. Sometimes lacks that extra bit of guile which would have seen him flourish for a premier league side during his career but if all of our side played as hard, and as consistently as Danns, then we would be pushing for promotion no doubt.

Question - can we extend Danns loan next week? Can't see Leicester wanting to pay his wages.

Well, either way, he wouldn't be allowed to play against them anyway, would he?Bijou Bob wrote:Question - can we extend Danns loan next week? Can't see Leicester wanting to pay his wages.
