I find it impossible to believe that Eagles will go anywhere for even double the wages Trotter is on.
He shouldn't but he will, 'Premiership experience,' I can see him going back to Burnley.

Wonder how may free agents we'll pick up this time round?

Some fairly decent ones on offer from what I've seen: Feeney, Paddy McCourt

Eagles out and Feeney in would be a lovely piece of business

Jermaine Johnson released by Sheff Wed. There's a name from the past. I remember him being introduced at kick off as Jermaine Jackson once.

Saw his debut v Arsenal & I though we had a World beater.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I remember us all at the time think he was a world beater, Bobo!

Feeney in and Eagles out would be a fantastic bit of business. I suppose it depends on whether the Dingles want to pick him up. I think McCourt might be a decent punt as well (winger who's been stand out for a poor Barnsley side)

The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Can see them losing Rhodes in the next window to a prem side or a desperate QPR if the don't go up.

That would be a fierce forward line, Charlie Austin and Jordan Rhodes!

Vaz Te contracts up at Spammers! It's his year! And N'Gog!

They have already got Andrew Johnson and Bobby Zamora. Do QPR actually need more strikers or do they just need a better manager.

If QPR had more goals in them, they would have gone up automatic. Been solid at the back.. They will definitely panic buy though if they don't go up (I don't think they will).

You just know that the football world is completely f*cking bonkers when a make-weight like Trotter can earn £312k PA after a stunningly average career.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Trotters isn't that ridiculous when you factor in that it's only a ten year career. It's your David N'Gogs and Zat Knights on pishing 30k a WEEK that do my nut.

That's still £3m for an, at best, extremely average player.

That some others make £30m is simply disturbing.

... & it's not illegal for players to take up another career after their 10 years playing.

He's not average though, is he? He's had a career spent almost entirely in the second tier of English football. That's a very high level. He has looked shit for us, absolutely, but this division seems fairly conclusively to be his level. Given the billions floating around football, I'd rather as much as possible went to those who people actually pay to see, the players, rather than faceless executives. I bet there are some people on here who'll earn more than £3m in their career for not being relatively as good at their job.

I'll not be having a whip-round for him like, but at £6kpw I reckon he's one of the very few who is actually being paid close to what their worth. I imagine we'll be doubling it though!
