Ah could have been called the Tim Ream thread!
Hindsight is a wonderful thing. It was all doom n gloom back then. Who'd have thought it would turn out like this. Juke on board and folk might be whispering successful thread :mrgreen:
Careful!!!
Too late for that!

Optimism mid season is a pernicious thing. Hurtful to the soul in the longer term.

Meanwhile I read that the Juke's price is £1m .... I wonder if that can be found. Also that Blackburn are using their time honoured scouting technique of "see who Bolton are after and go for them".
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If he pleased DF .... & the noises were that he did.

We could have a really good second XI next year.

He hardly fits the Dougie model.

A working version of that link, which is from January: http://www.first4lcfc.co.uk/blog/norwic ... -defender/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

In other top-flight ageing-defender news, looks like Villa are suddenly all chummy with Alan Hutton: http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... ent-u-turn" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

TRANSFER NEWS: Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of former Southampton midfielder Andy Robinson on a one-year deal.
The 21-year-old enjoyed a brief spell on loan with the club last season

He has to finalise his January list before he goes on holiday.

I guess he knows his starting line up for the first 6 games now.

Get the Juke in and how many more can he be after ?

Prudent financial management. If he comes good then get him on a longer contract, if it doesn't work out then we've given ourselves the option to get rid early. Win-win.

OR

Absolutely amateur management. A one year deal won't exactly motivate the player and is a dead-weight loss if he's shit, and if by some blithering miracle he turns out to be half decent, then a Prem club will turn up and poach him for pittance in January or bugger all in the summer. Lose-lose.

Copy and paste depending on your preference.

It's only a matter of time before someone comes along and says 'Why is he doing all his business now? Why not pick some cheap foreigners up after the World Cup. Short sighted if you ask me.' :roll:
