Once again the bar drops, as we convince ourselves that letting in two goals against a pub team two divisions below us equates "happy about the result". If it was a one off, I might concur, but it's not. Just another lowering of the bar against a place most noted for feck all I can recall.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Nah. Allardyce's was a reserve side. Despite the changes from Saturday only Wilkinson was the surprise starter last night (if you ignore the shock of him keeping faith in Pratley)a1 wrote:nah.

Nine changes, though... we must have a hell of a squad. Or a hellish squad.Harry Genshaw wrote:Nah. Allardyce's was a reserve side. Despite the changes from Saturday only Wilkinson was the surprise starter last night (if you ignore the shock of him keeping faith in Pratley)a1 wrote:nah.

Still, what happened a decade ago under Allardyce has little to do with how poor we are now. Even less than Coyle's era.
Re: Carling Cup 1st round draw: Bury at home
being glad about winning against bury fc also has little to do with "lowering the bar" .
they did it in the funniest way possible, when they beat city with the speed penalty, folk loved that.
makes a change from moaning about freedman's tv interviews or his 'motivation skills' or ' he's slagging the fans off' or " 'this club ?! he said the words 'this club' !!!!!1!!!!!"
they've played two games.
don't see why folk are pissed off that they won.

Has anyone said they were pissed off with winning, or are you just missing the point spectacularly again?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.
