Point of order. The beach at Brighton is covered in fecking big pebbles. Has The Bard owt to cover that? :?

Like as the waves make towards the pebbled shore,
So do our minutes hasten to their end;
Each changing place with that which goes before,
In sequent toil all forwards do contend.
Nativity, once in the main of light,
Crawls to maturity, wherewith being crown'd,
Crooked elipses 'gainst his glory fight,
And Time that gave doth now his gift confound.
Time doth transfix the flourish set on youth
And delves the parallels in beauty's brow,
Feeds on the rarities of nature's truth,
And nothing stands but for his scythe to mow:
And yet to times in hope my verse shall stand,
Praising thy worth, despite his cruel hand.
Nero fiddles while Gordon Burns.

This will be a tough one.

A draw at best for us, more likely another defeat though.

3-0 them. Another half not showing up, with the other half being described as desperate.

We'll get well and truly battered.

3-0 Brighton. Steve Foster hat-trick.

Don't be silly B.B. You know how it goes: We turn on a scintillating performance, win, Dougie says "Told you so, have faith in me"..and then we get whopped 5-0 by Leeds.

The battering I could see. The end of Dougie - I still think they'll cling on to the end of the month, if not game 10...

That option is way beyond the abilities of this dreadful squad.

Taken individually every game up to now has been one you could see us losing even if we were playing well Watford, Notts For and M'boro are all hard games and, as Duggy Stink keeps us there are no easy games.

For us anyway.

Again, an away loss to Brighton wouldn't normally be seen as a bad result if the performance and effort was there but you know if one goal goes in then more will follow. If we score we won't push on for another and drop deeper and deeper until we're practically in Cherbourg.

It's just so predictable.

You know when he talks about doing XYZ in training and takes credit for getting the players in at 4am on Christmas Day for sub-aqua bingo does he ever ponder that it might not be working?
I'm not asking you to 'think outside the box' I just wish you'd have a rummage around in it once in a while.

None of the games are going to be walk-overs though, are they? If we're competing in this league we should be capable of at least drawing with any team in it. None of the them, even though they finished above us previously, were capable of storming it or getting promoted so we should at least be expecting to break even. After three games we're third bottom and can't carry on in that vein. Do so and it'll be same-old, same old. We can't throw leads away. Watford whacked three past us without reply and Bury apart,( skin of our teeth result) we can't seem to capitalise on advantages. Notts overhauled us and then we let the Boro advantage slip again. Got to start being positive and expecting to win or we might as well not bother.
