In Development: the kids, 2014/15

Couldn't find the old thread for what used to be called the reserves, but we could probably do with a new one anyway.

Brought to mind because our Development squad are playing Oldham right now in the Manchester Senior Cup, and are 4-2 up after half an hour... Hall, Wilkinson, Clough & Iliev all scoring.

I could cope with winning every first half 4-2! :D

(Still 4-2 after 65 minutes)

For those who've not seen it yet, the goals from the Monday night game against Blackburn. Best viewed with the sound off, like that Milinkovic video.

Has Odelusi bulked up?

As well as his two goals, great work from Wilkinson for the 2nd, more impressive than the goals really.

You can see why he's got a contract extension if he's showing that kind of promise.

You know... the kids are all right...

(but not the Blackburn keeper, poor love).

Yeah, good link-up play - same for the third, too. In fact that third goal is very Lennonian - press and recapture the ball, then move forward quickly, with options.

That second goal reminds me of when you're playing against two lads on a Sunday who are just miles better than everyone else on the pitch.

They just defeated ManUre 1-0 in the local cup tonight, the only goal from Woolery who's just returned from a loan at Notts County. The visitors included some fancy-dan called Kellett.

The win sets up a final against Citeh.
