Will he bring Tommo back as his number 2 to try and build a rapport with the fans?
Still think we are missing a trick by not bringing Hughton in

Re: Next Up - Freeman's Replacement
Looking across our MF, he might bring him in as a player.
Re: Next Up - Freeman's Replacement
Someone else on here posted a link to one of these site a couple days ago. I'm not sure Tommo will be coming to Bolton if Lennon takes charge.TKIZ! wrote:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... paign=1490

I like the idea of Lennon. Seems like someone who doesn't take any shit.
Lacks experience at this level though.

Re: Next Up - Freeman's Replacement
Related to the (ever-enlightening) exchanges I had with Abdulaye's Twin a few pages back, anticipation of the imminent appointment of Lennon (or Hughton?) should be tempered by the following considerations:
1) Journos want column inches and column inches that will attract readers (I note BN revived Mackay after saying he'd pulled out, yesterday).
2) Bookies are interested in maximising profits - short odds on Lennon might just mean lots of (Ill-informed) money backing him.
3) A lot of people might be drawing unjustifiable conclusions from the fact he seems to be stalling on the Saudi deal - let's face it, neither their job nor ours is a dream post at present. Any smart guy would want to know exactly whats on offer and take a little time to think it through.
Personally, if we get him or Chris Hughton I'm happy.

So, lemmie get this right. It could all be rumour, innuendo and protecting business interests????EverSoYouri wrote:Related to the (ever-enlightening) exchanges I had with Abdulaye's Twin a few pages back, anticipation of the imminent appointment of Lennon (or Hughton?) should be tempered by the following considerations:.
So we're really in talks with Guardiola and Klopp not Lennon or Hughton????
I'll settle for that. Thanks for brightening my day up!

Re: Next Up - Freeman's Replacement
without tempting the gods, I think the quality of manager in the pot is pretty good (and I thought part of the reason why we shouldn't get rid of freedman was that there was no-one else out there......).
think my vote goes to lennon. People will say it is a given to do what he did at Celtic given the competition, but to do that against the backdrop of crap that he had to deal with, shows some nouse and guts. Would also be good to get back to a manager who wasn't a forward in their playing day - I have a theory that they have to have something in their personality that means they don't make good captains/ managers (cue thousands of examples being thrown in my direction)

Re: Next Up - Freeman's Replacement
↑↑↑ tbh I think Gartside made the reason we didn't get rid earlier pretty plain ; he felt he was doing a great job, just not getting the results. He finally gave up when he felt the stick he (Freedman) was getting was intolerable and ... in my reading ... was affecting him physically/mentally.
Otherwise he'd still be there.
I admire loyalty but sometimes it's misplaced.

So hope we don't end up with Lennon.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Interesting and impressive interview with David Flitcroft in today's Guardian.
Puts me in mind of a young Rioch - lots of positivity and energy, changing the culture at the club from top to bottom, making sure the players, administrators and fans know what he's trying to do and support him.
One for the future?
