I like this one.

Unfortunately I can't go to this one, so will have to wait until our boxing day derby.

Is it just me or do Wigan always seem to get something at the Reebok? I'm sure we have a fairly poor home record against them.
Not always. I remember when they came dressed as a team full of stewards and we humped em 4-0.

There's not enough swearing in thread titles I think.

I nominate Jaffka for next thread title.

Aye, I remember that one. A rarity.

I remember Lee McCullough scoring a late winner in 2006, with Allardyce responding by bringing nicky hunt on for the last 10 minutes. Got a few boos did that.

Then there was the dire result when Rodrigo scored for us before they levelled late on even though we'd absolutely battered them.

Not forgetting last season.

Still, gotta be optimistic for Friday!

My memory is that it was the final straw for me and St Owen of Coyle. He should have been sacked at half time .... before maybe ... for that team selection.

Remember us getting played off the pitch against them under Mr Potato Head when Catermole and Palacios ran it Sunday League angry clogger style.

We've played them at the Reebok nine times (inc one FA Cup) and lost more than we've won - W2 D4 L3. However, in each of the two we won we scored four. Be nice if that happened again.

At Burnden in all comps, W5 D2 L4 - so overall in Bolton, it's W7 D6 L7. (Overall in Wigan we're W8 D5 L9.)

Still can't get over Bobby Campbell scoring a hat-trick for them at Burnden. The bastard.

How many times can they ask the bloke, in the same week, any movement on transfers? What the fook do they think would have changed since Tuesday's chat when they asked and were told not really?

Those are fairly dire home records for both clubs, but maybe strengthens the theory that derby days are different to any other game?

Like he said, the workrate has been amazing. If I'm feeling generous I'll say Dougie left them fit at least, if clueless and shambolic.

I couldn't care a feck as to how we've got on with them historically, I only care about tomorrow's game. Though I do have some fantastic memories of Boxing Day morns and the mud banking :oyea:

Good to see them actually enjoying training, even if it's just the warm-up session. Positivity seems to be running through the club now!

Interesting selection problems tonight now that McNaked and Mason are back in the squad. Would seem harsh on Vela and you can't see past Cravies and Feeney up front.

I reckon if Zat Knight's original transfer fee was a new set of kit for Rushall, we should be able to afford some strikers with all those footballs.

Interesting one, especially Vela. What message does it send to him if he loses his place? I think that Lennon's team selection tonight will tell us more about the man himself.

Didn't we give Marine some kit for Jason McAteer? I've got some old replica shirts that I can use to sweeten any potential deals. :D
