Neil Lennon was on sky earlier this evening saying that Eidur is actually training with BWFC to hopefully earn himself a contract, NL said that he still has something to offer but that it's up to him to get fit in the next few weeks and prove it.

He (Eidur) contacted the club himself and wanted to come and try and earn a contract. Also, apparently he's desperate to get back into the Iceland squad so wants to get back playing ASAP.

Afraid I'm one of those with a soft spot for Lofty. I remember us playing Vinny Jones's lot in a night match at Burnden. Their support was a bit minimal, all gathered on the embankment end, and Lofty gave em a right good seeing to leading the orchestra as out fans did "We will rock you".
