Allegedly, it used to be some weightlifting bouncer bloke called Boyd according to other interweb places...

Neil Lennon was on sky earlier this evening saying that Eidur is actually training with BWFC to hopefully earn himself a contract, NL said that he still has something to offer but that it's up to him to get fit in the next few weeks and prove it.

He (Eidur) contacted the club himself and wanted to come and try and earn a contract. Also, apparently he's desperate to get back into the Iceland squad so wants to get back playing ASAP.

Christ! How old are you?

Bruce? What's up with you man? I'd have Lennon leave before that lion!

Fair play to him
I just hope he's not hoping for a significant wage. Nor that he pushes out the upcoming, more rather he helps them develop.

I must day he looks in decent shape. Hardly like getting Jardel.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I know who the Harry The Hornet is from Watford. He works with my mate and I had a strange email exchange with him about his twerking after our defeat at Vicarage Road.
True story.

Afraid I'm one of those with a soft spot for Lofty. I remember us playing Vinny Jones's lot in a night match at Burnden. Their support was a bit minimal, all gathered on the embankment end, and Lofty gave em a right good seeing to leading the orchestra as out fans did "We will rock you".

Great article - legendary game. Did Roadrunner ever do a video of the match, or had they lost their contract when we went up to the prem the first time? I'd pay good money for the footage with Dave Higson commentary!

So, to sum up the thread, he's still got the talent but maybe not quite the movement, might be useful playing in the No.10 role for half-an-hour here or there.

And Eidur might come back too.

I think he's a bit of an embarrassment tbh. Like an old running joke that a few people keep repeating.

There. I've said it.

(& I'm not much of a Lofty fan either tbh. boom-boom  )

Pot. Kettle :D

6-1 v Spurs, league champions, 0-6 catastrophe, new ground, Sams arrival, Youri, Jay Jay, Europe, Anelka, Sammy Lee's positives, Megson, Raziak, Coyle, Stuey, Muamba, relegation, Dougie & Trotter. Through it all there's always been 1 constant. Our wonderful Lion :oyea:

A sign of the good times that we can only argue about the lion
