Yup, great win. We might have improved our GD had we signed any bugger, and throwing comments about Commons in the match thread is just like ambulance chasing...

I'm all for tactical innovation but starting with 10 men is a bit much. Or 2 keepers?

From the Leppings Lane, the save at the death was unbelievable. It looked in. We were very poor second half. More by luck than judgement that we held the lead. But.... Great result. Rotherham next. Dream fixtures for a Yorkshire based white

Great win and an exciting game, really enjoyed the atmosphere in the away end.
Definitely deserved it but missed chances and over elaboration made it harder than it should be. Centre halves were great, vela played really well fir most of it but nearly cost us by dicking about with it on 2 occasions near the end. Danns wasn't at his best but Pratley excellent again. Heskey did little but cravies had a typical game, played well but missed chances. Lonergans save was fantastic and we were lucky with thè disallowed goal, but we took it to them near the end rather than inviting pressure. The ref did us no favours for much of it , looked like a 2 footer that got the lad a 2nd yellow.
Lennon looked well pleased and came over to celebrate at the end.
Wasn't in the mood after a crappy drive but delighted i went now.

so - we are still to put together a game where we look good in both halves? still - it's great to have a lucky manager! :oyea:

But we had a couple of chances ourselves too? I heard we hit the bar and maybe the post too.

BBC stats say we had 15 shots in all; 7 on target (SW had 17/3). They don't break it down by half, but presumably we had a few in the second 45? The offish Twitter reported a handful, though they are prone to exaggeration!

I'm thinking, having the lead, that we didn't go all out (as in the past) and throw it away. The onus was on them from half an hour played to score. We already had the goals. Didn't sound like we stopped trying to attack, just that we did it sensibly rather than foolishly. Good to see for me. This was a very good away win few expected us to achieve. Well chuffed.

It's been rearranged to take place just a few days after the Liverpool game. It's our next league match.

Marvelling over that touch from Pratley. Just superb.
