Amos, Guidetti the two who stand out. Plenty others I'd be dropping a line too though expecting their wages to be way out of our budget (Distin for example).

Saw McAuley on there and got excited given our interest (both real and fake) previously. Turns out West Brom are after keeping him anyway, and Leicester want him too.

Did you not see him first time?! Bernard Mendy's slower, less talented (half) brother.

Pick the bones out of that. Obviously there's plenty there that would be way out of our financial capability (Hangeland, Mulumbu etc etc) but there's a few eyebrow raising ones.
Freebies - yeah, Man. :oyea: I see that Arsenal have finally given up on yhe shockingly useless Ryo Miyaichi. What took them so long? Stunned that Palace have released Owen Garvan  Matty Upson's available, but that'd just gift six points to Preston. Micah Richards? I'd forgotten that he was still alive. Ben Amos, natch! Cannot believe that Newcastle have let Gutierrez go, but would like to see us register our interest in Ryan Taylor. Joey Barton's been given release to continue his sometimes football-interrupted career of racism and inflicting GBH on folk. Whilst on QPR's released players my undying respect goes to Richard Dunne. How the feck he got away with it for so long is up there with the tale of Sepp Blatter. God's goalie, Artur Borac, I see has been released by Southampton (Insert shit-on-crosses gag here). I didn't know that Jaaskelainen's middle name is Albert?!

Nixon says that Amos is in for a medical tomorrow despite interest from a Prem club.

Elsewhere, Tottenham are after trippier from burnley and Watford want Gestede from Blackburn.

Amos to Bolton, isn't that old news?

There's a fair few on that list who have already teed up moves; Boruc is going to Bournemouth, I think. And Distin's going to the knackers' yard. The player Allardyce most regretted not signing... 15 years ago.

Wasn't aware of this. What happened? Did BSA pull the plug on the deal?

I think Distin just chose to go to Newcastle instead.

He trained with us ..
& then with Newcastle. Sam thought he'd sign for us, but didn't.

Done with dignity to be honest, as opposed to Yossi Benayoun when he signed for West Ham and sagged the "big boot" style we had

Seem to remember Big Sam was a bit graceless about Wet Spam and Benayoun used this as an excuse to go to them rather than us.

Yep.

Lennon's gonna have to put a brave face on and hope that Amos is ready for the pressure and expectation that comes with being BWFC's first choice GK. Providing he signs on that is.
