I did wonder if it may allow an open in for Nolan ? Maybe daft but just a thought.
GMR says Mjalby "has to return home for family reasons". .... Twilight. Explain yourself !!

Cannot imagine how much he's been paid off ?CrazyHorse wrote:Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has just been released by Tottingham and is now a free agent....
Didn't he refuse to go out on loan unless every penny of his contract was paid ? I think it was £80k pw.
Good old 'arry.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

apparantly bilic wants him for west ham. doubt we'll have any chance of competing with that...

I would have thought Adebayor join Sherwood at Villa?bobo the clown wrote:Cannot imagine how much he's been paid off ?CrazyHorse wrote:Striker Emmanuel Adebayor has just been released by Tottingham and is now a free agent....

For the record, yesterday's win was the first in the lifetime of this thread (which has been running since April!).

Think you have to be unregistered before the window closes. Otherwise it counts as a transfer of registration. So think Caps is right.TKIZ! wrote:Now he's free can he not sign at any time?CAPSLOCK wrote:He can't sign for anybody, so its irrelevant, until January

apologies if this has already been said - if it has, I didn't spot it!
but according to the Mirror - this Nolan thing has actually got as far as him having actual talks with us in the actual North somewhere... it's not just idle speculation... of course - none of that means we'll get anywhere near his valuation for his services - but that's further than I thought it had got!

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... on-6433188Kevin Nolan has spoken to Bolton about making an emotional return.
The midfielder, 33, had his West Ham contract terminated by mutual consent and has since been training with Leyton Orient to maintain fitness.
Now Nolan is on the lookout for a new club – and Bolton are desperate to take him back.
He played for them for 10 years and it is understood he travelled north for talks with the Trotters on Friday.
Bolton fear they will not be able to afford his wages, but are hopeful an agreement can be struck.
Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!
So he might be interested, but only if it's emotional?

We've tapped him up to do a half time appearance for the golden gamble draw.

Give him the wage cap and a bonus if we get promoted.
He's loaded anyway so doesnt need the cash. Help with his coaching badges or whatever.
FWIW I cant see him in Lennons team unless its instead of 'the goal machine' gary madine. Which i wouldnt object to at the moment.

Kevin Nolan has spoken to Bolton about making an emotional return.
For who? His mum ?
The midfielder, 33, Way too old for our current recruitment regime. had his West Ham contract terminated by mutual consent Sacked?? and has since been training with Leyton Orient to maintain fitness. At Nobby's age and weight, he needs to do summat to keep the spread at bay............
Now Nolan is on the lookout for a new club – and Bolton are desperate to take him back. Says who?? Nobby's agent!? We aren't desperate for anyone, you headline seeking t wat.
He played for them for 10 years And a very good ten years it was. Now lets move on eh? and it is understood he travelled north for talks with the Trotters on Friday. For a quick chat in the Bispham kitchen. ' I'll have fish, chips and peas with a steak pudding and gravy on the side.... and two rounds of bread and butter...............
Bolton fear they will not be able to afford his wages, but are hopeful Some other feck* can take him on and pay his wages, 'cos we've enough midfielders who are stealing a wage each week.............

Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!
I'd take him back in a heartbeat, if he significantly lowered his wage demands.

He may have been here for ten years. We had about 7 great ones and 3 with him over weight and less than useless. Too much of a gamble

Re: If carlsberg did transfer threads.....This would be it!
His two best returns in the Prem for goals came after he left us along with thirty goals in two Championship seasons. So you're logic that he was a done deal before he left us is somewhat flawed (If that's the point you're making).jetsetwilly wrote:He may have been here for ten years. I wouldn't make him a "priority" signing and wouldn't want to jeopardize us getting in a goalscoring forward, but in the absence of one being available, if we could strike a short term deal, I wouldn't be against it.
