I'd pencilled in 'penned' as my new verb of the week. But now you've made me brush up on my grammar I'll not bother; just have to chalk it up to experience.LeverEnd wrote:I bet Sheffield Wednesday aren't quite as pissed off now as we were led to believe they were when we 'swooped' for him as a 'starlet'.
Talking of which, there's more in the BN about how Zach Clough has 'penned' a new deal. Is that used as a verb anywhere else in the English language? It's fecking diabolical.

Chungy hasn't been on the team sheet the last few games for Palace. Can we get him back on loan yet?

Love Chungy (and Mark Davies would certainly appreciate having someone else around that can pass short and crisply) but I'd rather get a striker.Vertigo wrote:Chungy hasn't been on the team sheet the last few games for Palace. Can we get him back on loan yet?

BOLTON boss Neil Lennon is set to snatch Carlton Cole from under Celtic’s nose as the former Hoops gaffer looks to solve his striking dilemma.
The Trotters have scored just nine goals this season and are propping up the Championship.
And Lennon could nip in and bring Cole to the Macron Stadium, despite the former West Ham forward training with Celtic.
Lennon is also reportedly eyeing Kyle Lafferty and Gary Hooper.

And LCY was a star on our team. Shows the gulf in class between our players and premiership quality.Vertigo wrote:Chungy hasn't been on the team sheet the last few games for Palace. Can we get him back on loan yet?

To be fair, if we define Chungy as a winger, he couldn't really have gone to a club with more competition for places. Zaha, Bolasie, Gayle, Sako, Puncheon - they got wingers falling out of cupboards down there.irie Cee Bee wrote:And LCY was a star on our team. Tokelo Rantie, anyone? Plays for Bournemouth but not really getting much of a game 1 in 3 ratio
