Assuming everyone is fit and ready, here is a classic FourFourTwo, for you.

Amos
Vela - Wheater - Baptiste - Ream
Feeney Davies Pratley Clayton
Clough Heskey

Benched: Young Goaler, Dannz, Madine, Dervite, Walker, Spearing, Hall, Woolery, Mox, Holden (sorry), Twardzik, Kellet. Trotter left at home.

I thought you loved Trotter?

Amos
Ream wheater dervite Baptiste
Vela Mavies Pratley
Clough Heskey Clayton

A few contract assumptions there, but based on who has turned up this week.

I forgot about Pratley - Swap him for Spearing in my team

Doubt Amos could be registered in time for a game tomorrow.

this is a depressing exercise - all the lineups look too much like last season's misfiring lineups... :?

make it stop!

If Vela plays at RB during pre-season (or at any point this season really) I'll be furious.

What if the alternatives are Alex Baptiste out of position, Tim Ream out of position, Dean Moxey out of position or Hayden White?

I'll take either of them before seeing Vela at RB again.

Except maybe Moxey.

I reckon he's the best right back on our books at the moment.

My point.

Though I imagine we could do tomorrow?

I'm sure the club can unofficially print a training jumper in anticipation of his signing. It's obvious he's joining us and that will be his number.

Last few seasons they've been wearing any old number in training. Maybe that's where we've been going wrong.

Yeah they probably could, but I'd be surprised if they just printed one quickly for the sake of it otherwise they'd have done it for e.g. Heskey; the FA are sticklers for registration of players. I personally think it's more likely he has signed already signed and officially registered, we've just not "officially" announced it yet.

It was just something I noticed in the photos yesterday; Amos had a squad number already, but our trialists and out of contract (and expected to sign) players didn't.
Did Amos have his initials on the top? Or did he just say "Oooh! Can I have No.1!"

Or did he have Boggers' hand-me-downs? We are a bit skint.

One of the yoofers maybe? http://www.bwfc.co.uk/team/reserve_profiles/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Maybe Nat Phillips. Or Perry. Or maybe I should go to the opticians.
