I've just been reading up on Derby's Manager, Paul Clement, because I've never heard of him. Turns out he's the son of our former full-back, Dave (RIP)

I missed the memo; what's the rule for match thread titles this season? Shakespeare, team/venue/date and stick it up 'em cnuts' @rses are clearly out. "Wham (ram) bam, thank you, ma'am" is a line from Suffragete City - is it David Bowie lyrics?
Às armas, às armas!
Sobre a terra, sobre o mar,
Às armas, às armas!
Pela Pátria lutar!
Contra os canhões marchar, marchar!

I've made the mistake at looking through their squad..
Attacking wise, they've got Chris Martin, Darren Bent, Andreas Weimann, Tom Ince, Jonny Russell and are looking to finalise an £8m deal for Gray from Brentford before they play us.
That's 5/6 players who would walk into our starting XI and most will start for them, from the bench
They've got enough clout (and ambition - I imagine) to nab Burnley's best defender and captain Jason Shackell

Nowt new to us to play a team costing millions. All the pressure is on one team here and it isn't us.

Very good point. And managed/coached by a guy that has a fair bit to prove.jaffka wrote:Nowt new to us to play a team costing millions. All the pressure is on one team here and it isn't us.

yay - good strategy Lenny - make us the total underdog no-hopers, then there's no pressure on us and we'll win! it's the future!

What riles me most about Derby at the minute is the fact they won that 250k from Sky Sports to spend on a player.

Sooooo.. How do we think we will line up?
Any arguments against this?
Lennon seems to be keen on playing Feeney up top and it seems to be working. Ream seems to be the only likely replacement for Derik aswell.

They all seem to be facing the wrong way.
Not even Coyle would have done that !!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

What thoughts about swapping Veal and Pratley over? If Derby are as good as thought up front then we're going to spend some time defending. Pratley's a big lad and Vela's creative.

Ince will be playing down the right for Derby. I can only see Pratley having the job of marking him. We need a good engine and good pace around him.

I can see what you say. A lot's going to depend on our less than inspiring back four. If they shape and let the midfield be a bit creative instead of having a seven man defence.....ChrisC wrote:TANGODANCER wrote:What thoughts about swapping Veal and Pratley over?
