They're a point and two places below us and have had back-to-back defeats (v Boro & Burnley). We should be looking to win this one (obvs), but I've a nagging feeling- simply based on decades of disappointment - that we haven't quite "turned the corner" yet. So, I'm pessimistically predicting a dour 1-1.
Just sayin'.

Trotters looking typically fruitless up front.

I think having us down to score one, after our goal glut at weekend was probably a bit too optimistic in hindsight.

Going down with Madine leading the line.

Hope the Clough injury isn't a bad one.

Madine and Heskey up top. More chance of John McGinlay scoring for us.

Well, it would be nice if other people than Madine were allowed to score too. Taking Madine out of the equation, we still only have 3 goals in 7 outings. We could certainly do with an alternative, but to improve our points position they'd have had to have scored 5 goals (counting boro as a write off). Other folks need to be scoring too.

At the time, I was confident we'd have signed Kevin Nolan the Goal Mach-olan in time for tonight.

Zach Clough out long term according to Iles who has just spoken to Lennon. Might need surgery. Sounds bad.

Amos saved us
Back 4 defended well
Danns worked his bollicks off
Davies came into it more second half but totally shown up by Bannan first half and drifted lots.
Silva finished strongly but very poor for first half.
Feeney worked hard but did feck all apart from that
Clough not in the game.
Madine fecking useless again. feck him.

Dobbie and Heskey came on and made little difference.

Given how hammered we were first half that's a decent point. For a team looking to survive that is. For a playoff candidate it's not good enough but we needn't worry about that.
Fortunately they were no better than us up front.

@OfficialBWFC: #BWFC extend their unbeaten run to four matches heading into Saturday's visit to @htfc.

Well that's alright then.

 oh dear.

If Lennon has any sense he will be on the phone to Nolan tonight and asking him what he wants. Now Clough is out we can put Nolan in behind a striker. God knows we need to find some goals and I think we need more than one player capable of hitting he net regularly.
