Re: No Nonsense... 'Uddersfield (A) 19/Sep/15
Just got home, im fecking livid. Told my little lad he's now banned from away games as he's a jinx
That was a disgrace, the first 10 mins were really good with great movement, passing and Heskey battering their defence. But it all started to go wrong when Heskey went off. Madine just gets bullied off the ball and is the wrong side of his marker when he tries to go for a header. Dobbie dropped far too deep and Feeney (who looks like he hates playing football) and Silva stopped moving for the ball and wanted it from a stationery position. Plus they offer no defensive cover at all. We then start tip - tapping it around the middle of the pitch but go nowhere with it.
I fully trust NL but one new striker wont be enough, we need a really pacey winger to offer cover/challenge Feeney and Pratley in the middle when hes fit to have a bit of physicality on the field as we are a bit too lightweight.
And.... if hes not going to ever bring on Spearing, then dont put him on the bench and send him out on loan as he shouldve come on instead of Walker and allowed Davies to get forward more where he's more dangerous.

Spearings a weird one! he was immense against Derby then gets dropped for no apparent reason! (I know he was sent off)
I don't buy this crap about physicality! we got the players to play the ball on the deck. instead, we like to lump it long and hope it sticks to our isolated useless target man Madine the goal machine!
Bollocks!
I'm getting hacked off with Lennon bleating on about strikers! we have 5 strikers!!!! 3 of which he fvcking signed!!!!

Results like this are going to happen with the team we've got. We're just an average, mid-table side these days.
We'll win one weekend and lose the next.
Everyone got excited after we beat Wolves, were still optimistic after the midweek draw, and are suddenly predicting the end of days after today.
There's no need to panic - this is how rubbish we can be, just like how last week was a demonstration of how good we can be.
Look at Ipswich, getting battered at Reading 5-1 and then winning the week after before drawing last night.
You expect to get a pasting now and then.
Although Madine's goal drought is now worrying.
Anyway, I can write this after calming down (because I was pretty pissed off at f/t).

Wilson had an absolute shocker, was to blame for 3 of the goals. It's worrying that we can't score more than 1 goal, it will take a miracle to find a decent striker

Yeah, I said last week that Wilson was our weak link. Where the frig are Pisano and Casado?

What's Paulo Maldini doing? He can't be more than fifty and would probably walk into our lot right now.....

Our form is nothing like that, we've won 5 games this year.Jugs wrote:Results like this are going to happen with the team we've got. We're just an average, mid-table side these days.

Pisano won't be match fit yet... he spent all summer at home waiting for a club so it'll take a little bit longer to have him available. I expect him to waltz into the team when ready though as he's surely an upgrade on Wilson (no offence meant to Lawrie he seems a decent bloke and isn't terrible but we need better)...Jugs wrote:Yeah, I said last week that Wilson was our weak link. I wish that Feeney could cross a ball like Wilson.
May the bridges I burn light your way
Re: No Nonsense... 'Uddersfield (A) 19/Sep/15
Well I had a fiver on Bolton at half time and Huddersfield at full at 28-1. The shithouses couldn't even feck it up properly!
Sounded pretty awful.

It's not just his poor crossing Bruce, I've never seen such a miserable looking player in my life. It's like he's being forced onto the pitch. I know last season he was one of the players who didn't give up but this season he looks as though he can't be arsed and would rather be looking at shelving units in world of pine.Bruce Rioja wrote:I wish that Feeney could cross a ball like Wilson.

Wilson isn't the main problem. We have nobody in the side who is likely to score more than 5 goals a season. Most don't score any whatsoever.
And we have a very lightweight midfield.
Those problems were apparent last season and haven't been fixed. Instead we've stockpiled full backs. I'm sick of Lennon banging on about a goal scorer because whilst one would be absolutely great he has signed players who either aren't good enough or most criminally just luxuries we didn't really need. In all the singings he's left the main weaknesses there and actually made us worse up front than last season even ignoring Le Fondre.

Perhaps it's because no matter how many times he provides chances, assists and goals, he gets criticised.wigan white wrote:It's not just his poor crossing Bruce, I've never seen such a miserable looking player in my life. Which is the fans' right, but I imagine it doesn't exactly make a player buzz with excitement.
On Lennon's "stockpiled" full-backs - I know what you mean BWFCi but I can't imagine Cassado and Pisano (is that even what they're called?) are on very much at all. True, it's all coming off the bottom line but: we needed full-backs; Moxey's revival is unexpected; and I have the feeling that Lennon's budget has been cut again since he signed them. No proof of that but I don't think he's so bad a manager that he would waste money on spare full-backs.
