The first half was high on our better performances list. Mark Davies was underperforming in the first half (injury?) but Dobbie replacing him was a total joke. We were weak in midfield in the second half and under pressure much of the time without Leeds looking like they were really going to hurt us.

I've no idea whether the pen was justified - and the red - but that screwed us. esp with Ameobi seriously knackered by then and no real threat otherwise.

It's desperate - but, in truth, this was a genuine improvement on the nadir that was Tuesday night. Small mercies but still worth having. slight decrease in despair. No noticeable increase in optimism.

Going to Preston. Why? :conf:

Three years = a decade? DSB will be tearing out his luxurious mane. :D

That 3 years has made his decade.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

No, I think three years could make a man's decade. Some Bowie fans might argue that the just 1976/77 trilogy of Station to Station, Low and "Heroes" make him one of the 70s' key artists. Gary Lineker will be remembered as one of the key English strikers of the 80s, but he only excelled in our top division for three of its years.

Just a minor point really. I hope what we got today turns out to be a more important point.

Theres no way hes on 15k a week and even if he is, hes scored more than most in our midfield this season after just 30 minutes

I'm just going off what Worthy said this week. Indeed, £17k has been mentioned.

Prior to that I thought it was £5k (per week, of course. Not per annum). I could cope with that pa. ..... just.

So is Mavies injured? How bad is it?

Good to see Ameobi scored on debut, even if it was a tap in. Madine has missed a couple of those remember.

Funny how in the last 10 years relegation has been a constant threat. I wonder if we can arrest that trend if we do go down. Then again we thought we'd be a realistic chance at automatic promotion our first season in the championship.

inflamed ??

Not "bruised", "strained", "ruptured" ??

How the hell do you inflame an achilles during the course of a game ?

No idea, could be a problem that had been bothering him during the week? Either way, I don't know what the prognosis is. Hopefully he's back against Preston.

Madine had concussion.

Tendonitis can be caused by repeated overuse of the tendons. He must have a fifth floor flat!

I reckon that pesky Enoch should.
(it only needs to reference Preston, Trotter and his wages, Davies and his inflamed tendon, Lennon, and the febrile mood of the fans. Easy).
