That Newcastle game wasnt Sammy Lee's first. That was a draw at home to Villa on the last day of the season before to secure European qualification (it was somewhat downhill for little Sammy from there).

Yes Foluwashola!

Is Mark Davies dead again?

One more defeat before putting some points on the board and we are in deep shit, I reckon we cannot afford to lose for the next half dozen and that's on hell of a tall order with this lot!

I seem to recall he also played well for us against former club Ipswich. Shame he was dog poo for the most of his other appearances.
Oddly enough they were playing Ipswich today! :conf:

Exactly this.

No-one is fooled, Trotter yer great lump. Apart from Dougie maybe.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Sammy Lee's first game was away at West Ham. We were 3-0 down at half time.

Blimey, it's hard to say how I feel. We were good in the first half, but not so much in the second. This was probably down to Davies' injury (assuming he was injured?). Dobbie just couldn't fill his boots and he didn't know how to defend.

Losing Madine, Davies and Prince hurt us. Leeds deserved a point in the end.

We were ok first half, absolutely dreadful second half until they equalised then we did well with 10 men.

Result is simply not enough. Leeds were dreadful. Being unable to win games like this at home is more than worrying.

The bright spot was how much difference Ameobi made to us. Even though he's about as fit as I am he still showed what having a striker up front looks like. Madine is nowhere near his level. If we can get him fit....

I think beyond that we lacked width and just didn't come out after half time. It was like everyone just decided to stop playing.

This is my point about only 'ever' being able to play well for 30 mins out of 90. IMO its a combination of not having any leaders on the pitch & a lack of fitness.

We look totally incapable of winning games, even when we go ahead - Ameobi a real plus though and he will get better as he gets fitter, but why on earth is Pratley captain, he's far too casual & is back to playing like he did before Lennon arrived i.e. shit and he looks so unfit & slow its like he's never trained

I thought Prince was a little unlucky with the penalty. Had he been previously booked? If not, I thought it could have been a yellow as the trip looked accidental. Caught on the wrong side running back and just clips the dirty Leeds players heel. Any how if my auntie had bllx and all that. A point is a point, but feels slightly disappointing after taking the lead in a good first half performance.

Bring on Preston. Live on sky I see, but try finding a pub on the IoW showing that when it's the Rugby world cup final!!

Are the IoW one of those up and coming southern hemisphere teams like Fiji and Vanuatu? :D

A slim one DJ, as there's probably a singing pet festival or a largest turnip that looks like a penis competition on. It is the IoW.
