And in other news we're still fecked
Notwithstanding it coming from the feckwits comic of choice.. Still Depressing to read..
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... paign=1490" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Perhaps administration could be a prelude to a new beginning ? Just let me grasp at that straw!
I've got to sell my car because I can't invest any more money in it..
I don't know what's wrong I've had all the wheels and the body panels off it and stuck a two stroke lawn mower engine in
but I still can't get any offers?

Re: And in other news we're still fecked
People who are quoting other clubs who benefitted from administration are forgetting the scale and nature of our debt. The assests owned by Burnden Leisure are only worth money if the club is no more.
FC Bolton will be looking for a new stadium. This story has only one ending

I despair.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Club statement -
Bolton Wanderers issue response to article published on The Daily Mail website
In response to an article published on The Daily Mail website on Friday 6 November entitled 'Bolton Wanderers staff fear jobs amid concerns about club's financial stability', Bolton Wanderers have issued the following statement.
Whilst the club acknowledges it is going through a challenging time, there have been no threats to any staff jobs in the immediate future.
After consistent backing from owner Eddie Davies, the club continues to seek fresh investment in what is a difficult and challenging economic climate.

I'm wondering just what Lennon was initially promised as support to get him here in the first place? If I were him I think I might be a bit pxssed offf right now.

People who talk about administration clearly haven't got a clue.
It isn't an option for us because of the ownership and debt situation. If we owed all this money to banks or suchlike that would be entirely different.

BWFC and Burnden Leisure are not the same. If BWFC go into admin it will be the only way Eddie can get a chunk of cash. Watch this space

Burnden leisure is the parent company.jetsetwilly wrote:BWFC and Burnden Leisure are not the same. If BWFC go into admin it will be the only way Eddie can get a chunk of cash. Watch this space
Perhaps you can explain how Eddie is going to make any money out of administration?

Firstly they could sell them without administration.jetsetwilly wrote:Dear me. How difficult is this. Bwfc go bust. Burnden Leisure have no tenancy. BL sell macron and euxton. Simple
Secondly an administrator would be handling the assets not Burnden Leisure.
And as I understand it, Burnden Leisure is the entity that would have to enter administration. Accounts are filed as Burnden leaisure if I recall correctly.

Dear me right back at you.jetsetwilly wrote:Dear me. How difficult is this. Bwfc go bust. Burnden Leisure have no tenancy. BL sell macron and euxton. Simple
Who the fck do you sell a football ground to ??
ED owns Bolton. Bolton are in debt. ED is the person who both OWNS and IS OWED that same money.
If we go into administration it's just him cutting off the source of his own debt and anything sold off in a forced fire-sale would mean HE loses that value.
He may as well simply give the club to someone.
I have no idea how administration does ED any good whatsoever. Dear me indeed.
Corrected. Fckg predictive text.

Re: And in other news we're still fecked
Eddie is the owner. He is owed the money. To get the money back he would have to sell. A fire-sale would undervalue the thing he'd be trying to sell to get his money back.
The essential problem is that Eddie's never getting his £150m back. The essential question is how much of a loss he's willing to take, because we're even less sellable in the third division.

But DSB explained it correctly.
ED has,.by reports, offered to sell the club for £30m. That's him taking a hit of £150m.
We MUST be worth £30m.but there are only so many potential investors out there.

Eddie has not spent 180m. He only has 60m. He has made a good profit from bwfc. The money owed is profit. He accepts 30m for a sale. He can make that by selling the stadium and training ground. How hard is this? If bwfc go bust he makes a tidy sum
