Re: Not the Charlton thread.
my last away game was Charlton, remember us absolutely battering them but ultimately losing 2-1. Lennons first defeat in charge iirc, and the start of the rot.
we still had the likes of Chungy, Mills & Beckford and the manger who gave a shit. what a difference a year makes.
its gonna take new owners, and maybe a result at Hull for me to brave the Antigallican bogs again!

After the Paris agreement I thought it best to save some energy.

Another loss, Vaz Te will score against us.
Same old spineless, gutless, Bolton Nil performance by a team of soft arsed wankers who would struggle in League 1- in fact I doubt that we will win another game this season, lets take administration now because we aren't going to stay up with this side of fannies, if it means that we can finally get rid of these tarts and never pay them another penny and the likes of Feeney, Danns & Pratley never wear a BWFC shirt again I'm all for it.

Agree with the spinless and gutless PT, but I see you've honed in on Feeney and Danns as you do in most of your posts on the topic of useless. Just help me understand which of our players have been much better than either, so far this season?Peter Thompson wrote:Another loss, Vaz Te will score against us.

Because there's quite a few I have both Feeney and Danns in front of. Might be a sad indictment, but I'm struggling to name a player I'd keep as a "must have"...

Feeney and Danns are two I'd put in the 100% effort but limited camp.
Re: The Charlton thread. - Charlton (A) 15/12/15
Exactly. It seems fashionable to slag them off, but Feeney's been our best attacking player despite being League 1 standard, and Danns has been far more influential than his captains Mark Davies (with a fraction of his talent) and Pratley. Feeney was ridiculously shit yesterday, utterly out of his depth, but it's not his fault he's not good enough. Davies on the other hand went completely missing for most of the game and his main contribution was a dirty tackle on someone who was away and had beaten him for determination. .
I predict that Danns/Feeney will play out their careers in the lower leagues as hard-working honest pros, Davies on the other hand will probably get a chance at a higher level but do feck all because he hasn't got the heart for it.

So you think we'll keep 'em.

Which is why we are in the position that we currently are with 1 win in the last 26 games in all competitions - I'm not saying that they are the worst in the squad, but along with Pratley they continually frustrate with how piss poor they are with the ball.officer_dibble wrote:Feeney and Danns are two I'd put in the 100% effort but limited camp.
I spoke to a couple of lads yesterday who went to Hull and apparently all 3 of them would be lucky to get a 4 out of 10, they where apparently awful - as they are most weeks IMO, but then again most of the others aren't much better.
If its just about effort though, I'm sure most off here would put in 100% effort !!
Re: The Charlton thread. - Charlton (A) 15/12/15
But still they keep being named by lots of our fans, probably because they are always there in the team. I've seen quite a few games this season and I'm confident that we'd have even fewer points without those 2. I also think they'll be useful in League 1 and we should keep them if the likely relegation happens.Peter Thompson wrote:Which is why we are in the position that we currently are with 1 win in the last 26 games in all competitions - I'm not saying that they are the worst in the squad, but along with Pratley they continually frustrate with how piss poor they are with the ball.officer_dibble wrote:Feeney and Danns are two I'd put in the 100% effort but limited camp.

It's not just effort, they have an athleticism and a capacity for work and ground covered that others can't match and that Lennon sees as key to how he wants us to play. Unfortunately the team as a whole isn't good enough to take advantage of the platform that workrate provides. I'd have Spearing in every week personally, but I'm not blaming Danns for his absence.
