Well that'll finally have put paid to the wilder elements conspiracy theorising knobheads ( mostly not on here it must be said, but quite prevalent on BN comments around January).
Feel sorry for his family.

Re: Phil Gartside
That's very sad news. R.I.P.
Re: Phil Gartside
Sad news. He had his detractors, but he was a White and he was there during arguably one of the club's finest ever eras. He saw us through the champagne times but everything has to end eventually.
A lot of people said it was 'funny' how his illness coincided with the sale of the club. I just think it's tragically symbolic how his death has coincided with our fall from grace, as though it puts a big fat full-stop at the end of a fantastic era.

Sad news. I always felt he had the best interest of the club at heart and his presence will be missed.

Re: Phil Gartside
Really sad news. A genuinely decent man and a genuine fan of Bolton Wanderers. RIP Phil.

Jesus that's no age. Whatever his flaws I'd always rather have one of "us" in his position. Genuinely cared. And boy did we have a ride!
