My worry is, they've defaulted on a loan, secured against assets and they're willing to let the ground go, in order so that they don't have to repay the debt.

That's my hunch and it's shared by a few, that I know of.

Without reading too deeply between lines, there seems to be a marked sense of distrust, or at best an uneasy/disturbed feeling amongst some factions that K.A isn't being quite above board about some items. Worrying, to say the least.

The failure to repay a £5.5 million loan, secured on group company assets, due for repayment in January 2017 and therefore in default.

That loan is in the accounts. It is referenced directly. It is a loan from Prescott Business Park. Taken out before Ken was involved. In the accounts Ken says they are working with PbP to look at repayment options.

Looking on companies house it seems that the loan is secured against shares.

It's not some mystery. I'm sure it has been stated that PbP provided that loan to help the club out and are supportive of the club. As you've said before, given they own the Middlebrook they probably need the club existing.

Mine was/is one of them. Isn't £5.5mill the amount that Deano's outfit owed with interest? And wasn't that secured against the stadium? And didn't KA magic up £5.5mill out of nowhere to buy Deano's mob's shares?.
My active imagination is telling me that KA hasn't reimbursed BluMarble for Deano's bankrupt shares and that the asset still outstanding is the stadium.
I'm NOT saying that's the facts, but that is defo what My Overactive Imagination came up with.

Holdsworth's loan was 5M. Secured against physical assets. Ken bought Deano's shares from the administrator for what one imagines was a very low number. He then renegotiated the terms of that loan repayment with blumarble.

That's all a matter of public record. The loan is very much outstanding but was renegotiated.

The loan referred to in this thread is one taken out prior to the takeover and is secured against shares. It was due in January this year. Seemingly PbP are cooperative and not after taking direct action at this stage. Given the loan was to keep the club going at the time, it seems likely that PbP are still cooperative.

This is what I'm said a long long time , every time he go out and said I support Phil Parkinson during this bad start , I have this feeling that Ken Anderson will not put any penny in Bolton and doesn't care about Bolton he is only care about his money , but if the news is correct that he want to sell his share for about 25m it is a good price for anyone interest in Bolton .
