Also from Iles twitter:
Basran still looking best bet, Martin. But Ken not making it easy for anyone...
I am very glad the second option is there, because I have no faith in the first one.

There must be a big chance that any offer on the table now, reflects the likelihood of L1 next season, as opposed to a new regime inspired run for safety this season that seemed possible a couple of weeks ago, and so barely covers the outstanding debts.

Ken, as ever, has bluffed himself into a terrible position, if we assume it is money that he is primarily interested in. If it is just a reality football ownership media drama with himself as the main focus, then he has certainly achieved that, and there may sadly be a couple of more episodes to run yet.

So yeah, maybe weird silver lining...

am following the Nixon updates in twitter.

Seems there's a letter lodged at Companies House where KA hands over his BL shares and resigns if he defaults on the loan. ^^

Players kicking off? Certainly would be preferable if we can have a clearout now rather than in a few months time.

The perfectionist in me demands a correctly titled thread for a saga that, I suspect, has a few more twists and turns in it yet.

How soon until the new investment arrives?

Will it buy us that elusive goal scoring centre forward?
Two years, three months and counting. Almost like yesterday... Apart from the thread title...

Yay! It's Friday. Beginning of a new era for BWFC, with messianic like saviours swooping down to bless the club with new direction and impetus.

Hope it doesn't turn out to be the direction taken by Charlton's latest incarnation.

Come on you Whites!

ThNks for trawling for those of us in work all day!
If that's aimed partly at me - you're (all) welcome. Sorry if the regularity of bulletins might get hopes up, or if you get the "Oh no more guesswork" reaction, but y'know - it's a forum, and a very important week.

Sadly I'm much busier today so I won't be as on it but I'll check sporadically. I notice that an hour ago Iles said that players and staff have not yet been paid - remember they've set a 5pm deadline, although what they threaten to do thereafter is unclear - and called them the last pawn in the game. Meanwhile Nixon says it might be a long day.

Paraphrasing Nixon's recent replies to questions - looking like deal might not be done today - still haggling.

Can't see any deal just magically appearing today. In honesty I didn't expect it to. Ken is paying the bare minimum to get the game on. I suspect he will drag this out for every £ he can get as far as he possibly can. Which might be the point at which unpaid players can rip up their contracts or the 20th March court date.

With more than one party in play no way will Ken settle in a hurry until he absolutely has to. He'll hope to extract everything he can out of this.

Yep, there is huge potential for media coverage for Ken's reality show as players refuse to play and we have another existential crisis with the winding up date on the 20th and the wages not being paid again at the end of March. Then, Moonshift might try the nuclear option. From Ken's perspective, this could eclipse Coronation Street.
