Even if he was the last target man on earth, turning down anything beyond a million would be ludicrous.
In ordinary circumstances I'd agree, but given we can't replace him he has to stay.
Yes if we could go out and sign a replacement we'd be stupid not to sell for £2M. But as we can't it would be suicide to do so.

I think it puts this division into some perspective when Reading have just paid £7.5m for Aluko from Fulham, and Fulham have bid £15m for Dwight Gayle from Newcastle. These two are in the last year of parachute payments, and their payments are way less than the likes of Hull, Sunderland, Middlesbro, Villa, Norwich and QPR. Makes the financial restrictions we are operating under look laughable...

Holding and Clough were assets we had to sell to keep going. Madine is (*spits*) an asset too. Everything has a price. Even the training ground.

BWFC MK2 AKA AFCBW here we come.

That's how I see it. We can call it giving up but since we're still operating at a loss(?) surely any reasonable offer has to be considered? Ken held out for a little extra in the Clough deal so although I think we'd sell Madine if an offer came in, we'll not be selling him for a pittance

We are being linked with a loan move for Cardiff winger Craig Noone. The original source seems to be Alan Nixon. Presumably this implies either that Chris Taylor would need to leave, or some jiggery pokery occurring with the terms of the embargo.

It would be absolute waste because Parkinson would not play him....he's already got 2 wingers in Morais & Ameobi and even Buckley if required, so why does he need another winger ?, at best he'll only ever play one out & out winger at any one time. Surely any manager with any tactical nous who watches us playing every week would be looking at central midfielders not wingers

29, always thought he was a solid championship player, why is he being bombed out there? Good player. Would be interesting to see how he fits in.

Cardiff are in flux, mind you they have been for a while but even the Bluebirds I know aren't sure what's going on with the playing staff ins and outs.

He was unplayable the year they went up. Wouldn't be beyond Colin to fall or with someone, though doesn't seem to be harming them...

Sounds like we may be asking Palace about Chungy coming back here on loan? B.N source.

Lee Anderson tried but has said it's "not happening".

Nixon said we want to loan Swansea midfielder Jay Fulton, Bolton-born son of fleeting Wanderer Steve (ex-Celtic, signed summer 1993, fought with Rioch, quickly out the door).

In other news, Birmingham have signed Jason Lowe, the ex-Blackburn defensive midfielder we talked to earlier in the summer.

Jay Fulton is, I believe, a defensive midfielder

Seems like Noone is done. Like others I can't really see the need for more wingers...well I can but the need for a midfield is far, far greater. Need a midfield monster above all else.

All the midfield ‘monsters’ were snapped up about 8 weeks ago, think we’ll have to make do with a midfield midget. anyone got Spearing’s number?

Decent player. Good target man and good pace. Could do worse.

Word around the campfire at the time was that wee Fulton's Daddy was nae stranger to a dram. No idea if it's true or not though.

Very good signing at this level - Ken must have negotiated some leeway with the EFL because no way on earth has Noone come on wages of £4.5k a week.
