I reckon we could get away with just 17 wins. :D

Said he needed four points from Bristol, Villa and Barnsley, and the most we can get is three.

We look to be improving, but only by our previously pathetic standards. 11 games, of which we haven't scored in 9, no wins and we're seven points adrift already. Time to start looking elsewhere.

Ok, I agree he should be sacked, but he won't be. I agree with myself that we should still be playing in Europe, but we aren't.
It is what it is until an owner invests. It's like Brexit, many outcomes, little prospect.

A new manager won’t prevent us from getting relegated. We’re too far gone now. We need to start thinking about building a half decent squad to get us out of Div One next season and then make a fist of it back in this league.

Poll's still open, and those who have already voted can change their mind. Still running at 72% saying no.

There's only 43 posters voted - hardly reflective of the overall BWFC support base, especially as most of the posters on here are very passive / vicar types....and in the main always supportive of the incumbent manager, regardless of how shit we are.

And of those 43, only 12 want the manager sacked. It's an open poll on an open forum, one on which I've regularly seen "<insert manager name> out" threads. Maybe there's other polls in other places with different results.

DSB - not for the first time you've missed the point

43 voters out of possibly 15,000 - 20,000 Bolton fans (against P/Boro last season) means absolutely feck all...

I'll take you up on that P.T. Not agreeing with your agressive current manager hating attitude doesn't make people on here " passive Vicar types" any more than you are. At least D.S.B 's poll is based on a reality vote, not an assumption that everybody who doesn't agree with your own view is wrong. I'll have you know there are folk on here who can tell the selectors of our national football, rugby cricket and golf teams how they should be run, oh, and a section who can actually run the country as well as manage Bolton Wanderers, and some without even resorting to miracles...Vicar types? Think again.

Of course many on here will remember the mid 90's where we fluctuated between the premiership and division one as I think it was called then. It took us several seasons to become established and I am guessing that's where we are now.

Yes albeit a division lower. I was surprised we came back immediately last time. My worry is when we go this time (& let's face it we're as good as gone already ) it could be several years before we get back up again

This is a sample of the folks on this forum. Not sure what percentage of the total active persons voted, but it would appear that the current results of the poll represent the findings on other polls conducted elsewhere.

PT, at this moment, most people dont share your sentiments that PP should be sacked, whether you want to believe that or not.

I'm trying to imagine Bruce as a vicar. There's a potential sitcom idea there.

I'm still saying no, because of the ownership situation.
If we get new owners and a bit of cash then I'd be all for a fresh under a new manager.

Was PPs biggest mistake gettng a shit team promoted last season
If we had got into the play offs and then failed would we be calling for his head right now - while winning games in league one with our current league one standard team ?
