Must be us. But that is crazy money for a non-league striker who is 26. Shows how mad the game is now. And they turned it down.....Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 11:08 am"An un-named Championship club had an £800,000 bid turned down for Forest Green's Christian Doidge, says Sky Sports man Peter O'Rourke."

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
It's interesting, isn't it. Doidge is well regarded considering he's played half his career outside the 92. Same could be said of Boyce, I suppose. But as you say it would be a lot of money for someone who has never played above the fourth tier, let alone the third.BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 11:08 amMust be us. Usual weird torn feeling. It would be nice to fill the gap, and spending Actual Money on it feels like progress. But that money is hard-earned, and gambling is a worry.

Rangers have signed Forest's England U21 centre-back Joe Worrall. Might (or might not) make Beevers less likely.

RUMOUR: Pete O’Rourke via LOVS possibly left back Pape Souaré on loan.
The former Lille left back has struggled to regain his place in the Palace side since a horrific road accident back in September 2016.

Re: Reconstruction time again: the summer 2018 transfer thread
I was looking up that Sam Gallagher. Tall. 6ft 4in.
Got 11 goals for Blackburn as they battled then got relegated.
Got 6 for Birmingham as they battled then didn't get relegated,
Not prolific but he has real experience (80 odd games) battling relegation in the championship level.
Though when Brimingham had their mini 6-8 game renaissance he was dropped. From the squad entirely.
So it bad results may of been his fault OR the manager just doesn't like him... Both of which should both make him loanable.

We are not signing an England U21 centre-back.Dave Sutton's barnet wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 11:32 amRangers have signed Forest's England U21 centre-back Joe Worrall. Might (or might not) make Beevers less likely.
Especially from Forest.
And not one called Worrall neither.
Let's get that straight! Yes, siree Bob!

We did try for Papiss Cisse - he's a friend of Lee Andersons but ultimately couldn't match wages on offer elsewhere.

Good news Insane. We're not signing Papiss Cisse.
Ken thought all the "S"s in his name were "$" and wouldn't have a bar of it.
He has in mind an amount of "S"s a player can have in their names.
Six figures or less. He will not be taken advantage of.

He's playing in China so will be on bonkers wages. Sounds like he was keen but agents wanted the more lucrative Turkish option....mullayo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 12:18 pmhttp://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/16 ... loan-deal/

I started to watch his goal highlights but the first 6 were tap-ins from crosses.

Got good pedigree, but was one of those that came to Newcastle, couldn't stop scoring initially, then went quiet and disappeared.mullayo wrote: ↑Fri Aug 31, 2018 12:24 pmYou seem put out. Not sure how he'd fit in for us, but certainly would be a different option.
